at 20kft 10nm is well inside the AIM-9 WEZ when dealing with targets that stay nose hot

Another interesting feature of our Super Hero Cat is the Super Sidewinder! Why super sidewinder? check the Tacview please as it can get lunched from 10nmi and hit the target in the face! Maybe I am wrong and this is just 9M behavior!

At 60k I hit a plane at 30-35NM going mach 2.2. So yes, you can do that kind of things lol.

 

After all that's an infrared seeking missile, no warning of that thing coming towards you, so that means no avoidin will be done in mostly all the cases.

We don't make the aim9. ED does. We use their aim9s. End of story.

 

 

 

And correct, high enough, and fast enough, you can kill a non maneuvering target with an aim-9 up to 19nm.
