F18 HOTAS (continue update)

Sounds good . Is there any chance to get in the future a Mirage 2000C hotas system, as you may know, there is already a respective module developed for DCS?

Even if they would only offer a Mirage 2000 stick without the throttle it would be fantastic.

A manufacturer supplying sticks for the most popular DCS planes would be amazing but certainly very expensive for customers as there would be small batches of products.

Hornet is one of my favorite DCS planes, having full replica F/A-18 HOTAS would be a dream setup for me.

It has certainly been frustrating to watch other companies come present their new controllers that look so great but then supply issues make it very difficult to actually purchase anything. Your work looks outstanding so far, so if you can manage to make these things actually available to buyers within a reasonable amount of time, you may quickly jump ahead of all the other competitors. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

We are very careful about release any info, you can see we have endure for a year! we did'nt release a 3D demo when it's still on picture, and we produced dozens of prototypes, we still not show those prototype.

Now we are very close to quantity produce, so we release what we can do , to see if all you like it.

If any selfish motives: we hope more pilot order it to make it more cheap!!!

For your personal, I promise you will be the first batch can got it. Of course we will meet the productivity ramp problem in beginning. But we have confident!

I've been wondering if a company based in China would get into the mix with a new HOTAS. Good for you Winwing, I wish you all the best in this venture.

 

I collect Hotas, and I'm pretty excited to add whatever you put out into my collection. Looks great, depending on your gimbal/etc, you could have a contender here, big time.

 

Also, looking through your website, it's obvious you already have the technical capability and experience to make something great IMO.

 

 

The constant state of lack of stock with the current new kids on the block (Virpil/VKB) IMO shows that there is a massive interest and market for these products - WinWing you guys could swoop right in and grab a share of the pie, and expand it, especially since the old kid on the block hasn't done much in the last 8 years (yes I know they released new pedals, but still no new promised changeable sticks in 8+years for the WH, and no new models either).

looks really cool and solid, hopefully this throttle will be affordable for me,

 

just some thoughts regarding your throttle. looks like u made it straight and not oriented towards the pilot? is this production related? (thrustmasters a10 throttle grip is oriented a few degrees towards the pilot as well) also the radar elevation wheel looks like a scrollwheel, will it act selfcentering as the real one does?

We produce in China, Chengdu City, the Iphone factory is about 5km from us, which mean we have very good supplier here.

As I promise in before reply:If we can the the order quantity like some 8+ years old products, we will do anything for you(our customer)!!!!

And a new promise:the price will be expensive than F18, but anything from our factory should be bear by home user.

WinWing, just so you know, Lex Talionis is a former FA18 Naval Aviator. He has quite a following here on DCS as well as on Discord and YouTube. If I were you guys, I'd reach out to him for some subject matter expert review. Obviously, there will be some issues with transfer of information, but getting an opinion of a former fighter pilot will probably go a long way.

If nothing else, I would *LOVE* to see a review by Lex.

Just to be clear, I don't speak for Lex. But I think I'm safe in thinking that a full review by Lex about the look and feel would go a *long* way towards your sale opportunity for DCS users.

I'm just about to finish up my review of the VirPil HOTAS, but perhaps in the future I might check out your fully metal product and give it a review for popularity. I'll keep an eye on your work.

That is a great product, to me it looks even better than upcoming Thrustmaster hornet HOTAS, but keep in mind that Realsimulator is also working on F-18 grip
