See the color difference in 1.5.6 and 1.5.7.

At least the glare on the dials is gone.

The thing is not all Su-27 has this tinted front canopy. Even the tinted ones for what i can see are the fewer. The not tinted ones are more widespread.

It would help if they put these changes in the change log.

If anybody is interested in a not tinted version use this file:

Unzip and copy paste the file inside Mods/aircraft/Flamming Cliffs/Cockpit/Textures/Su-27S-CPT-TEXTURES.zip

people need to learn to do research instead of "bug" reports.

Can you really blame them, when such an obvious change isn't mentioned in the patch notes?

Personally I think you should have the facility in the load out menu in the ME so you can choose whether or not you want tinted glass or not (like hardpoints with the UH-1H and Mi-8MTV2) Since when you just google Su-27S (the version we have) images return with and without tinted glass, sometimes it's too difficult to determine so if it's made an optional thing allowing us to have what we desire then everybody's happy.

Of course some of the images I'm seeing make it very difficult to tell, so if it's realistic that the Su-27S we have has a tinted windscreen then so be it.

Here's what I'm seeing

Not tinted (at least it doesn't look it from where I'm sat)

3270.jpg

Tinted

2970.jpg

Both of these are presumably the exact same aircraft type (they're both obviously -27s but I'm assuming same exact version) and are of the same operator (Ukraine) so what's the definitive answer? Tinted? Not tinted?

Personally if things are kept optional (and DCS is fundamentally a sandbox remember) then everybody is satisfied.

IBut whatever floats your boat. DCS want a tinted inwdscreen, so be it.

I bet they did it to make the HUD readable in 2.x with deferred shading enabled.

This patch changed the lighting quite dramatically (and it's also quite bugged: in the M-2000C for example the general lighting changes from "midday" to "evening" every 2 minutes or so).

Maybe - but I can barely read the HUD in 2.1 at the moment with DS OFF.
