Swarm mission

Any idea on how to complete it? Sea Dragon campaign. I tried rockets with limited success, RBKs, then KMGUs. I still cant nail the bastards. Would the escorts engage remnants?

I could not remember the mission by its name. Can you describe it what kind of objectives there was?

 

 

 

This mission is where your battlegroup is being chased by 12 speedboats [3 boats x 4 groups] and you must intercept these speedboats with your AI wingman before they reach the carrier and blow it up {suicide mission = boatakaze}

Ask your wingman to attack naval targets via comms menu. Fly long enough and they will be killed by your fleet's ships. Finally you will get success message so you can rtb and land on the Kuznetsov.

here is the thing, he cant kill all of them and even misses with cannon. I tried repeatedly but always get my engines damaged or so shot up I plop. I might assign a trigger though.

If you just fly enough time, even your munitions are depleted the enemy boats will get close to your carrier and they will die so you still win the mission.

 

well I did finish it afterall. had 3 KMGUs, 4 rocket pods of KOM variety, and the gun. the best one is KMGU, if you can anticipate the lead, they pretty much enter the mini carpet and never leave it. best attack is headon with this method. Even my right engine lost some power due to damage, but landed back on the boat no less.

Hmm, instead of KMGUs and rocket pods, try the cluster bombs - RBK-500-PTAB. Release from behind the boats and aim a little ahead at faster than 1000kph and at approx. 500m altitude. You will pretty much nail them every time.

 

Thing is you meed a long carpet with these fast movers. RBKs are very short print. KMGUs stretch wide and far most importantly.

I used some rockets to get a bunch then I carefully gunned the rest of them. Wingman did a few too.

 

 

 

I’d be scared with guns.. from a headon.. like it should. All hits incurred were head on passes with gun.
