Put "Anisotropic Filtering" to the max this should help a bit.

But it's a bit blurry in the Rift anyway, some planes/helos are better some are worse in this regard.

Anyone using the Rift with an HDMI extension cable, successfully?

I have tried every cable in the house with no luck. I have one more arriving this weekend, but I am about to give up on the idea. I would be happy with just a few extra feet.

I wouldnt go past 15 feet, or one cable, and it has to be a decent 4K 60 FPS Capable Cable.

But there are people that use them, Oculus Staf posted the ones they use, as well as USB3.0 Extensions on their forum.

EDIT: I found a few comments and suggestions of known working cables, but nothing directly from an Oculus dev. Would love a link to a quote.

Took a chance and ordered this 10m Active HDMI extension https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00K00Y4XY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Along with this 10m Active USB extension. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J9L8S4Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Both work well as extension of PC to Link Box. DC connection is made at the new location. Only thing to be aware is that the Camera worked fine before extension using a USB 3 connection on my computer but with the extension requires it to be in a USB 2 connection. Hope this helps anyone in the UK looking to extend the reach of their Vive. Good luck.

OOps just realized that you were talking about the rift and these extensions worked for the Vive (which only requires USB 2.0)

Good to know, got my comp in another room with cables thought a hole in the wall and I plan to hang the cable from the roof. Will most likely need an extension

Thanks Loz. Even though those aren't available here, it is good to know there are multiple solutions. USB3 isn't an issue, so far. I have two cables arriving today, with hope.
