If am wrong then i am sorry it is just my point of view and i really don't know much about coding and modelling.
A-10C was more like 5 years.

What happened with all that anyway... I wasn't around at the time and wondered what was the deal with the MiG-21. Please delete this post if it's something that shouldn't be asked.

As I recall reading, at least one the guys is at university, another does it as side-project (not full-time work) etc.
So in short, the guys working on it did not get money during the project or if they did maybe something far less than someone on full-time work should get.

I'm not 100% sure of this but that's what I remember reading at some point.

The MiG-21 is in final stage of development by 3rd party Leatherneck Simulations and is to be released very soon (probably June). You can read all abuit it 3rd party section of the forum.

Well.... 3K/month in Germany as a software developer? I wouldn't even leave my bed for this amount of money.

But if you mean 3000K/month (Dollar or Euro),... well I would leave my bed ANYMORE after a few months of work. :-D
