Cskelly
I can not complete mission 10 the frame rate drop to 3 -7. I have changed settings to lowest possible. Did DCS world repair. updated drivers. I have been working for days with no luck. Anyone else have this problem? I am not much of a computer guru, just love flight sims. I sent a request to support, but thought I would check here also. I flew the first mission with F-15 Georgian War, my FPS were about 60-80 on the ground, and 180-200 in the air. A10 Georgian Hammer seems to be doing fine. All on medium to high settings. Ramsay
I can not complete mission 10 the frame rate drop to 3 -7. ... Anyone else have this problem? Yes, I attributed it to the single thread performance and base clock of my older i7 860 @2.8GHz CPU, sort of glad I'm not the only one. I am a little surprised though, as your system specs are better than mine System Specs i7 860 @2.8GHz , 12GB DDR3 , GTX670 2GB, 2+4TB HD, MSFFB2 joystick, X52 Pro Thottle, TIR5, Win 10 Pro x64, 1920X1080 Edited September 17, 2017 by Ramsay i9 9900K @4.7GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 10 Pro x64, 1920X1080
dimitriov
Hi, Waiting to get the new version to come with next DCS major update, as long as some major issues have appeared on this one. It would be pointless to release a fix for this only right now, as long as I may have to rework the entire mission. Once next major update is released and that I have the new files, I will make some tuning. Don't worry about your computer, it's simply that I put a bit too many AI units, and in 2015, it still used to run smoothly with GTX-970/I-7 3820/16 Go RAM in ultra settings... In 4K. But it seems that DCS optimization is currently quite bad. So pause the campaign until there is a fix, really sorry about this, so much work on it and then DCS simply destroys everything ^^ Nicolas

This sounds dumb but my solution was to 'not look at it'. Don't fly direct to a busy FARP, but to a point near it so that all the objects are not on your screen on approach, then pivot over at the end. Also, when you're landing, face the side of the FARP with the fewest objects (least bad frames). I don't remember this issue cropping up after mission 10 so if you can get through this one you'll probably be OK. Ramsay
But it seems that DCS optimization is currently quite bad. I don't remember this issue cropping up after mission 10 so if you can get through this one you'll probably be OK. Mission 10's frame-rate has greatly improved to 20-40 FPS with the optimisations in DCS 1.5.7.10175, there are still dips but the mission is actually playable (for me) for the first time since I bought the Gazelle. Note: The mission it's self hasn't been changed/reworked - the FPS improvement is purely due to changes within DCS and/or the module. "Good job and well done" to whom ever was responsible. dimitriov
To confirm by other people then. You should soon get an update to fix the various "Meatboy/Sluggy doesn't take off or land on my face". At least files have been given. Nicolas
Cskelly
Still no joy on mission 10. Getting on average 1-3 fps, max 9. The only thing I am worried about will I need a new rig for the up coming modules, like the F-18? I would really love to see the campaign through though. I guess I will keep checking after each update.
