Wrench Posted March 23, 2019 Share Posted March 23, 2019 I fly RIO primarily and I can tell you, the closer a target is the harder it is to find with the RADAR. The closer the target is, the narrower the beam is as it passes them, so it has to be pointed more precisely, and the RIO's controls aren't really set up for that. That's why you have ACM modes.
