Question Will DCS have DXR or RTX ?

Recommended Posts

That is a yet-to-come DX12 feature iirc. DCS is on DX11 and about to move to Vulkan.

The Answer is NO,

1. This is Not even enabled in Consumer DirectX 12 Yet,

2. DCS Currently is Built on DirectX11,

3. DCS will be moving to VulkanAPI

Seeing now that AMD has announced through Vulkan supporting Open CL 1.2 Radeon Rays 2.0

Will we have this In DCS at some point in the near future. supporting real-time ray tracing in their game for photo realistic lighting and shadow effects. thanks.

AGAIN, The Answer right now is NO.

Radeon Rays 2.0 is AMD Proprietary Tech, for AMD Only, and ED has never included something that only works on One GPU Brand (AMD GPUOpen/nVidia GameWorks).

No Need to Open a Redundant thread in another Forum Section, to ask a question that's already been answered.
