Discounts dont stack, so the Hornet Owner Discount will come after release. Will not be available during pre-order/Early Access.

 

What exactly doe this mean? No discount for hornet owners if we decide to buy it after pre-order while its still in EA or what? And how much will the hornet discount be, will the pre-order discount be larger or the same or what?

I think we should discuss more when MAP is released

Great report...Coming around turn 2 in 2020 DCS is extending the gap to the closest competitor....

They will never catch-up!

I'm going to buy it even if I don't use it just to support the Developers and the Development of more good stuff!)

It means that discounts don't stack, so the Hornet Owner one won't take effect till after release, and what that means is Hornet Owners will probably see something close to the Preorder discount.

 

Basically, if you are a Hornet owner, you get to have the discount longer than others. I dont have the exact numbers on the discount, but I think, as I said, it will be very close to the Pre-order discount... dont expect a 50% to 70% discount or anything like that.

 

Fair enough, but you guys should probably hash that out and let folks know the specifics on it before the pre-order hits IMO. Otherwise I'd expect more torch and pitchforks moments from hornet owners.

Quite. Whatever ED (or any developer for that matter) announce there will be a bunch of posts of why didn't they do something else. I for one am delighted with cross channel detailed WW2 action and am really looking forward to it. The newsletter announcement is full of exciting stuff but there will always be people who simply want to turn it into a negative point.

2.5.6 has a pretty major fix for pathfinding and how it affects FPS and MP servers.

Upgraded Kuz is only for the Supercarrier owners or will it be in the general game?

 

And in terms of "testing" the Dynamic campaign in 2020, is that internally or will it be in open beta?

 

As for the Syra and Falklands maps, are those actually on plan for this year or just an update that they are being worked on?

So it’s confirmed for the Kuz, It’s finally getting an update, but most of the money for the full module I would pay for is going to a Nimitz I’ll never use:cry::cry::cry_2::cry_2:Not sure I can do that. Even when on a crazy sale, that is going to be ALOT(assuming a price of 80) just to get an updated Kuz with working JBD and hold backs. I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t fly the US naval planes. I won’t throw a fit, but I am disappointed. I would pay a smaller sum just for the Kuz update standalone

Hash what out? He's telling you Hornet owners will have a discount for a longer period of time. Normally discounts are over when the product releases.

Any idea of what ED plans to improve in the Mission Editor and when will be added? Tought it will be announced this week, but has not been the case.

Really interesting are the improvements and optimizations that will be made in the engine, as performance related issues are one of the most recurring in dcs.

Is there any extra information regarding these updates (especially the vulcan api)? Wasn't there something related to the terrain engine to?

Do we know how many non-statics can be parked on the deck of the new Kuznetzov?

Not available in SP if you don't own it, will be visible in MP if you don't own it.

By not available, do you mean not usable in anyway, or just can't be placed?

 

 

One of my concerns with asset packs and similar things is sharing missions through Users Files. If I have the pack and add the ship to my mission, will the mission require users to also buy the carrier pack?

Because some of us just got into DCS and the yet another charge so soon from ED on the credit card will be noticed by the admiralty brass :pilotfly::joystick: :helpsmilie:

please, can some official say if the caucasus will also get an overhaul, e.g. airfields(!), trees, woods, more (detailed) types of houses and industrials, ground layers for towns and villages and so on?

You will not see it, as I understand it, the mission will still work, but the unit will not be there. But we will see once it gets closer to release.

Thanks, I see, that's a bit of downside for mission sharing. I guess you could get around it by making versions of a mission for people with/without the packs, though if even more optional assets are added later on that could get complicated very quickly.

Normally after an early access release, the discount for the product is no longer available. So, for the Supercarrier, Hornet owners will still get a discount after the early access release. Is this correct, NineLine?
