kaba
I'm experiencing no CTD on landing after today's patch. Can I ask you to please let me know if this still occurs after the update on your side? Edit - actually, a lot of new bugs in this patch. Might want to hold off until a hotfix can help this out... Razor18
Guys, with all this freakin bugs around (blind radar as far as I can remember the worst), is it worth to even start up any mission nowadays?
kaba
I've had no issues in the latest patch, except for the Case II ATC loudly repeating. I can understand if you'd prefer to wait though.
zildac
Tips for mission 3 Hi All, Any tips for mission 3 (Railyard). Obviously no targetting pod and "dumb bombs" is it just a case of eyeballing the targets at WP3 and using CCIP? Would there be an issue changing the loadout to GBU's and adding a targetting pod, or will I break something in the mission logic. Yes I suck at CCIP drops :-) Really enjoyed the first two missions, not too tricky even for me :smilewink: 12900KF | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 5200 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero

Razor18
And if you line up perpendicular and lay down a string of 4 bombs with 100 feet of separation, you can also get the armor in the parking lot on the same run in...
kaba
There should be no issue with changing the loadouts on these missions, but be careful of fuel! This mission is pretty forgiving, you only need to take out one target and they are not hardened. CCRP, CCIP, LGBs, totally up to you. There's nothing preventing you from hitting it with JDAM or even JSOW if you really want, although I don't think they were invented yet...

kaba
there was a CTD on AI CASE II landings. I'd previously reported this to ED and it seems to have been quietly fixed in a recent patch. I've also changed up the weather in the latest campaign version to avoid CASE II's entirely (both to avoid the bug, and also because I find them quite boring vs CASE I & CASE III) So short answer, I'm not aware of any new bugs and nobody else is reporting any. If you do experience some, then please let me know, but you also need to report CTDs to Eagle Dynamics rather than just me.

zildac
OK, last question promise :music_whistling: So I saw the post re MP and just changing the wingman and player to client, trouble is as soon as I do that and fire the mission up on my dedicated MP server I get the classic "your flight is delayed for takeoff". Makes no odds if the mission has just loaded on the server or if it's been running for 10 mins. Is this an impossible want or am I missing something? 12900KF | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 5200 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
kaba
Sounds like the carrier doesn't have any spawn slots at the time you spawn, so you have to wait for AI to take off. Supercarrier or normal carrier?
zildac
Hi Kaba, It's on the supercarrier. It could be that I guess, but in theory there should be a slot for me and my AI wingman (as per the original miz file) so I would have expected for those two slots to still be available when I change the flight to both be "client" on the same units? Or does it not work quite that simply? kaba
Might be something to do with how DCS assigns start positions between different players - are you starting on the Cat? Could you try from the ramp, either cold start or hot start?

Could you try from the ramp, either cold start or hot start? Hi Kaba, Just checked and both units set to "takeoff from parking hot" as per the original miz. I guess zapping a few of the statics on the elevator may help if it is indeed a slot problem? Update: OK so if the mission is run locally it's fine (with both slots set to client) which of course is no good if you actually want to play with someone else in the other slot. So I removed the 3 statics on the elevator near CAT1 & 2, and it now allows me in with no "your flight is delayed" message when the miz is run on the dedicated server. I'll do some more testing and feedback  Edited July 4, 2020 by zildac 12900KF | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 5200 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
drhay53
having trouble on mission5, OCA West. Spoiler alert. I can't seem to get my bombs away before the SA-6 gets me. Any tips for how you approached this?
speed-of-heat
one pass haul ass ... set up ccip as your bomb mode, with a single release programmed at about 50nm give your wingman engage complete and rejoin go south of your WP, aim to to be 20nm south, along the line of the target bomb fall, before rolling in lining up on one side or the other as the pipper crosses the first target, release, shallow your decent and pickle the next three targets adjusting your heading, break east or west hard after the last bomb comes off, and the notch the SA-6's as they engage you with luck you wont even need chaff or flares...
