Guppy
The stick was presented in June 2018 and since then nothing... Quite strange... It should normally be interesting for both Thrustmaster and DCS to commercialise this product...just like with the A-10C. It was actually presented in May 2017 at E3. According to Jabbers and others, in 2018, during that E3, they suspected by end of the year 2018 based on what they heard in the booths from TM employees. 1 year later and not a single peep. GriffonBR
The guy on facebook says that the grip is already for pre order on taobao (chinese site) and cost about $250, the Thrustmaster racing line wheels cost about $150:( Must be in production (large scale) and since almost every eletronic is Made in China we must wait until the real sign from Thrustmaster, but it's good, now we know that's not a "vapor hardware"! Supmua
What happens to the Thrustmaster F-18 stick ? I can’t imagine the grip would cost $250 without the base, when the Warthog grip can be had for much lower from Thrustmaster. The want factor is high though, I definitely need one. This grip seems a better match for my VPC base since it would be lighter than the Warthog. Edited May 9, 2019 by Supmua PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti. From Reddit: "The price though, is a whopping 1,799 CNY (264$, 235€). But Thrustmaster controllers in Taobao, Aliexpress (China) is always more expensive. Donut
Whoa, yeah...that $250 better include the base as well or be much less when it goes on sale in the U.S. I have been holding out on upgrading my HOTAS, but to upgrade to a Warthog and then buy the Hornet stick on top of that would be a no go for me. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"

DragonFlySlayer
Throttle's n Sticks I think TM should manufacture sticks so one could easily unscrew his stick and switch out for a different jet! We have the F16 stick even though it's strictly a Warthog throttle system. They could make the Hornet stick and all we have to do is switch it out. They could make a throttle base with switchable twin or single engine, with all the button configurations so weather we're flying our F18 or F16, TM could even make a couple of Russian sticks too to switch out for the SU or MIG. They should make most of all the sticks or at least three or 4 major sticks, at least the stick, to switch out. This way everyone would have a system for each his or her own, could switch out sticks for a different jet for a more dialed in HOTAS. HOTAS is becoming more important with the more advanced modules being presented here by DCS. AA+ It would be good for us, and if those who don't want to can just sit content with the Warthog, or to have a newly created throttle base system and a few available HOTAS options for jet model sticks would be cool. Considering how DCS has grown on the whole globe. Lets face it, the other brands are pretty cheesy, light plastic stuff that is ...what ever it is. Even TM has put out some throttle stick systems that are plastic kiddie junk for what we're doing here in DCS world. TM needs a Universal throttle base mount with some cool switches where the throttle handle sliders can be switched out for different HOTAS, and different stick models that can be switched out. I can't believe someone at TM has never presented this to it's department heads? Now in the year 2019, I think it would be wise on TM's side of the fence considering elements such as BMS 4.34, DCS's growth.... It's simply a win win situation for those who play serious with their sim flight here. To really take full advantage of all the work that goes into some of these modules here form DCS, the HOTAS to have down to the T, really helps with learning a great deal for game play along with weapons etc.....:joystick: Waggs has a good handle on it as I think having that stick is very helpful. He uses it for a reason. But when you think about it, notice after reading early access and Chuck's Hornet guide, it would be proper to have a stick and throttle switch configuration that had the actual button since the module does. :music_whistling:

We have the F16 stick even though it's strictly a Warthog throttle system. They could make the Hornet stick and all we have to do is switch it out. They do easily unscrew and swap out. The TM F/A-18 grip that is in development does exactly that. The old TM Cougar stick unscrewed as well, heck the F-16 grip from the TM Cougar, mounts just perfectly on the TM Warthog and vice versa. :joystick: Twitch Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC | Sponsored by Thrustmaster Z390 Aorus Xtreme, i9 9900k, G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB, 1080ti 11GB, Obutto R3Volution, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, TPR, Cougar MFDs, FSSB R3L, JetSeat, Oculus Rift S, Buddy-Fox A-10C UFC, F/A-18C UFC, Tek Creations F-16 ICP
