renhanxue Posted October 22, 2019 Share Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) It changes the radar pulse duration. It only has an effect when CI is showing a PPI - no effect on B-scope. I think it's supposed to help with detecting small targets, especially at sea, but I'm not sure, and I'm not sure which mode is supposed to be better for that either. See SFI AJ 37 del 2, page 25.
