Operation ''Tuckstonia''- Online PvP Campaign

-Round 1 of the first regular mission of Operation Tuckstonia, titled VIRTUAL AIR WAR is over! :)

We managed to have 28 pilots participating in the event, which however encountered some problems (perhaps due to bad luck?? :doh:).

In specific, during the start of the event both teams encountered connection problems resulting in massive simultaneous disconnections in both sides.

The weird thing is that during these massive disconnections the server remained on line, allowing the disconnected clients to join again.

For this, the UVAF squadron, was kindly offered to provide their server for a fresh start of the mission. After that everything went smoothly and the first round of VIRUAL AIR WAR was accomplished.

We want to express our sincere appreciation to UVAF's for their kind offer, besides my congratulations for their perfomance :)

I also want to thank once more all the participants to the specific event not only for their participation but also for their understanding and patience,

since we managed to launch and complete the mission with a delay of one hour later than the scehduled time. Total mission duration 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Last but not least, many thanks to our mastermind Ghost that keeps feeding Operation Tucstonia with his inspiration and missions.

Does someone, if the server permitted it, have a tacview replay of the event? I recently re-setup my system and did not install tacview til now. If a replay exists, it would be nice if it could be uploaded somewhere.

Yes, despite the server problems it was a good session, some good fights as well. Play to seldom with just heaters but I enjoyed it. Good work 373rd :thumbup:

Yes Mav, Tacview works in the operation. I dnt have any saved from last night though, i had many disconnects and i decided to connect ''naked'' at the end :)

The BLUE air force got an invitation for a head to head virtual air training battle northeast of Caucasus mountain. Each side can sent 15 pilots to test their dog fighting skills against the other side.

-RED aircrafts will be Su-27s/MiG-29S

-BLUE aircrafts will be F-15Cs.

-RED Homebase will be Mineralnye Vody (the base is secure with SAM sites)

-BLUE Homebase will be Belsan. (the base is secure with SAM sites)

The Battle area will placed between both homebases. Weapons will be only IR warheads (R-60, R-73, AIM-9M/P) and guns.

Will R-73's still be limited? Last week I respawned after beeing shot down and took off just to notice I had no ordnance onboard. I was not able to rearm as R-73's were not available and R-60's not usable on the 27

No, we have ask ("give him some dirty money") the local military shop owner (close to the airfbase) to deliver the base with enough A2A missiles for the 2hrs fight. :music_whistling:

really looking forwart to thursday. Made an attempt of creating a video of my favorite engagement from last weeks battle. I don't usually make videos, so don't expect to much, but I guess the kill is worth a look ^^

Nice flying Maverick. I think you got me there once also but that was an easy match for you :P At the end of the round I had only the AIM-9P and it did not lock anything. Maybe some training must be done before next match :D
