HMS Hermes R12 Released V2.5

Disregard my above post, I am testing out the deck park and for some reason the no.1 od the 2nd flight (1st pic, no.6 helo spot) taxis into the no.4 of the 1st flight. I guess there is a set up trick to this, how should I do so?

I started a 10 harrier mission from the Hermes, I was flight lead of the 3rd flight, all others were AI. I got spawned on the port-stern corner of the flight deck. The two-ship 1st flight attempted to take-off first. How the flight lead managed to taxi past me without colliding I have no idea, his wingtip must have just cleared my nose. The flight lead of the 2nd flight got very cosy and it was a miracle I didn't strike him while trying to taxi past. Neither 1st or 2nd flight bothered waiting for me to finish Nav Alignment before going off, despite blocking their path

 

Landing for the AI still seems to be more miss than hit but I realise this is still WIP

 

Still got a nice shot of 1st flight taking off (before 2nd flight wanted hugs)

Edit 1: Changed to be flight lead of 2nd flight, still spawn in the same spot

 

Edit 2: Add pic of 1st flight, flight lead taxi issue

The link on top is the latest beta..

 

Still need to redo the LOD files as some stuff has changed until I release the new version.

The spawning 'should' still work but I haven't tested it.

 

AI is either ED or RAZ, whoever dose the code.

is it me or ist the ship too narrow?? ive watched the vids where fleet air arm turn their harriers around on the deck etc yet try that on this model and you end up in the drink we haved to do like 2 3x 3 point turns before we can line up then reverse to the arse of the deck to take off

You using the high-gain setting for the nosewheel?

if your on about switching the anti skid to nws yer i do that and still cant turn a circle on the hermes without doing a three point turn

dotn even turn harder using left or right wheel breaks i get the impression the ship is like 3 or 4 meters too narrow compared to the real thing or something. but if your aware of something that turns the plane more sharply plz do enlighten me cos im at a loss

Once you switch the anti-skid to NWS, press the stick NWS button (IIRC it's 'S' by default). when pressed (when the anti-skid switch is in NWS mode), the HUD will show NWS HI and you can turn the nose wheel much further while holding it

Things have slowed down a bit on all projects as I'm back at college..

 

As updates are breaking mods it's mainly bug fixing and textures.

 

AI still ejects after take off. Not sure if it relates to Razbam or ED department.

Update 2.1.2.42b.256 updated the lua files and version number

It's too big for the user files even in 2 files.

 

Lights should be animated for nav, launch and recovery

 

about 12 harrier spawn locations

 

Any problems post them here.
