Drag80
Thats what warranty is for. People should wait a little before buying until the product is thoroughly tested. however, someone has to take the leap.

BitMaster
Me too, but sometimes bad luck comes in a pack. Looking at the number of Asus boards I have sold and assembled I cant really say they fail often. I had bad luck with P800 series chipsets back with P4's and then again when my Maximus Extreme Z170 went bad was the next, 10 years after and maybe x3 the number of boards. Then a WS board, also Firmware bricked...and finally my old 980GTX Poseidon with the broken fan controller. Asus has "same day shipment of replacement, no Credit Card needed"...IF you buy Workstation "WS" labeled boards, or server boards. Anything else, even if twice the price, will go the snail slow RMA. That WS board exchange took 3 days, from Hungary iirc, fantastic service. BitMaster
to add another RMA... Just now I wanted to prepare a Firewall but it came DOA...LOL It's priceless: You call a friend to give you a lift, have a 3h journey to pick up that UTM Firewall for the price of a nice motorbike, drive home, tidy up the desk, prepare the USB stick with the LONG awaited new Web-GUI capable version of the system, clean the desk again, smile, attach all cable, smile even greater, find out new version dosnt have a LED bezel anymore, grrhhh, ok, hit the damn I/O switch on the back, ...NOTHING...hmmm....-->OFF..amd ON again, still nada...grhhh. Change cable, change wall outlet, still nothing, :( Seems like bitching about my ASUS RMA's summoned the Daemons and force me to call Rohde & Schwarz now, how I LOVE this. Haha. This ain't nothing yet. once the 3rd DOA comes it gets hairy, I have had that too, with Routers years back. #4 worked finally...LoL...RMA, I should write a book. BitMaster
As it turns out, the Firewall wasn't DOA, they forgot a sticker and a brochure that tells you were the hidden RESET knob is. Hit that thing once and it booted, oh man. Tech.-Support guy said he doesnt know why they made it thos way and why they forgot the sticker, almost everyone with a U300/400 calls them up and says "DOA !!"....and it isn't, it's just a lousy reset button hidden.
