Flashing number in HUD under altitude

It it the barometric number and flashing I guess is an alert for a mismatch.

 

If the flight computer has a trans alt setting, that might be it.

 

In the b737 fmc u can set a trans alt and system will remind you if not not correctly.

OS: Win10 home 64bit*MB: Asus Strix Z270F/

CPU: Intel I7 7700k /Ram:32gb_ddr4

GFX: Nvidia Asus 1080 8Gb

Mon: Asus vg2448qe 24"

Disk: SSD

Stick: TM Warthog #1400/Saitek pro pedals/TIR5/TM MFDs

Hi,

 

 

Sometimes under high load I see a number flashing under the altitude digits. Last time it happen to '29.29'. What does it mean?

What altitude are you flying at when you see that flashing? Is it at 18,000 feet and above? It could be an annunciation telling you to switch to standard baro of 29.92. Don't know though...just a theory. I'll have to fire up the bug and go test my theory. :pilotfly:
