I assume your prior post refers to the ability to have a profile for 1.5 and a seperate one for 2.0. I tried to find your other thread that may have dealt with this issue, but could not locate it. If you have solved this problem, would you please post your/Firefox solution. Thanks

I have not solved that issue, I would have to find the other thread I was referring to but as I recall,, we were not able to resolve it because it was likely due to windows registry, and not a simple matter of changing the Target location.

OK. Thanks. It is really no big deal to keep switching the profile settings, but just another thing to remember. I hope one day CPT Z updates the profile to get a working weapons panel and RWR now that he seems to have a real good handle on Helios. I sure wish someone would make a dummies guide to Helios as I have found the YouTube videos a little to confusing.

For some reason I thought that was achievable? I may has misinterpreted what i read here or somewhere else, something to do with that MFCD_FC3 file? I dont know,, I havnt even started to implement this yet

In using the MFCD mod for F15, I finally figured out that if I use my left cougar MFD, then the screen does NOT lose its focus when pressing a button for the MFCD.

I also noticed that you are using Win10. Was there any issues with configuring Helios for Win10 ie, the touchscreen changes?

I dont recall having alot of difficulty when I setup Helios on Win 10. If I did, I keep logs of everything I do so I can refer back to it, especially if I do have an issue. I will check my log book and get back to you.

NO. It can be used on any monitor, but when you use it on a touch screen and you touch a button, the screen loses focus and problems arise in the heat of battle. So I set it up on my second monitor but I only use the Cougar MFD buttons to change the MFCD.

Let me know about your log and Helios as I am getting close to going to Win10, but scared for all the unforeseen problems.

Now that I have this Helios profile installed and the Radar is exporting, I am about to move onto this "MFCD_FC3.bat" file. I went to the site provided for info http://qopru.com/mfcdfc3/ but I admit none of this is clear at the moment. Exactly what is this file going to do for me when I run this Helios profile for F-15? I ask because it seems so far in this thread that the RWR and weapons profile page are non functional? I dont even know if that is related to MFCD_FC3?

The MFCD mod is a strange one in that it is really not part of the F15 cockpit. It is sort of like the TAD page of the A10c. You need to have the files that are listed as required and then prepare a bat file to load the MFCD. It loads twice for me. Once on my main monitor and again on the space in the Helios profile where the weapons panels is supposed to go. Just click on the one on your main monitor and hit f12 and it will go away. I am uploading my bat file that loads the MFCD in the correct location and is controled by my Cougar MFD number 1.

Thanks Sobe, I am hoping it becomes more clear to me once I actually enable it. 1 fundamental question, with this, are you getting RWR and the different pages such as weapons loadout etc? Or that is NOT part of this?

Capt Zeen, or anyone,,, see photo attached. I am in the middle of changing some of the key bindings to match my current. I am having difficulty understanding what the intent of the Fuel Selector Switch command is attempting to do in Cat Zeens profile. Its key binding = {LCONTROL}d, which by default on my options is to set my bingo fuel Counter Clockwise? That just doesn't seem right for Fuel Tank selector switch?

I had Helios for the KA-50 but uninstall it because I couldn't figure out how to install the profiles/Images into it to make it work. TC

Ok,, so the 1st step is that you need to install Helios, that would be a different thread to post in. I suggest doing a search. I will try and find the post for you as there are also Youtube videos on how to install.Once Helios is installed, the profiles you download provide the install instructions of the profiles. I will send you a PM to keep that topic out of here.

Ok, I will look into that to see what the difference is between what I have available now without MFCD_F3 and with it.

Thanks" UPDATE: I found out that the Helios profile had the command {LCONTROL}d for the Fuel selector switch, which for me, is the command for changing the Bingo Fuel to CCW, not what was needed, My Fuel Selector Switch is {LSHIFT}d, which is what I suspect all of us need set?

AND

I downloaded and extracted the MFCD_FC3 file, the instruction state:

"This software integrated via export.lua in DCS World. It is dependant on which data is exportable for which aircraft, either case. To use it, just run it once before DCS World, and then launch the simulator afterwards. This is needed (only the first time) BEFORE DCS because the program will insert its lua script."

This is a ".bat" file, where am I supposed to install it, and how am I supposed to run it? No instructions for that? I suppose it assumes I know, but I don't. Please advise, thanks

I keep the bat file in my MFCD_FC3 folder and then put a shortcut on the desktop so I can run it right before I load Helios and the game.

Will try to look at the fuel issue later.

I think I agree with you on the fuel panel issue. I was only able to look at the profile for LCtl+d and in the game it is for bingo. Helios is very confusing to me but could we solve the issue by just changing the key command in the game?

Capt Z should look at this.

Sobe, I just changed the command in Helios to what it should be. I didn't see any point in changing the default keybindings in DCS. Problem solved, just passing the word on that.

Regarding the .bat file, I am not familiar with the use of them, so if I understand you correctly, this file does not need to be installed in any specific location, you just need to open it and it is running?

If so, how do you open it? I get the attached error:

I followed the instructions from this link:http://qopru.com/mfcdfc3/

Now I followed the instruction provided by this link to install "JRE 8", the link provided with these instructions:http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html

take me to the Java page, but there is no "JRE 8" to be found there? Figuring the instructions are outdated, I downloaded "jre-8u72-windows-x64.exe" from that site and installed.

What am I doing wrong?
