Shibbyland Posted September 18, 2018 Share Posted September 18, 2018 Hi All, Every time I select the AIM 120, my RADAR automatically switches to ACM mode. I'm having a hard time finding a reason for this. RADAR modes seem to change without me making any input. For example, when undoing a lock to continue with a scan, the scan will not continue. Instead, the RADAR will stay locked to the left in a position I did not previously have locked. I find the azimuth changes from time to time too. If anybody can elaborate on what causes these changes and how to stop them I'd really appreciate it. I'm mainly interested in keeping the RADAR in RWS mode when an AIM 120 is selected. S Posted September 18, 2018 Share Posted September 18, 2018 I'm not exactly sure why it goes into ACM mode when you select the 120 - happens for me too. I try to set that up before I get into an engagement just to be sure I have it all how I want it. The radar will stay locked in the space where you last had contact to try to pick your lock back up as quickly as possible - same with the azimuth. Cheers!
