Because I have been busy with panel building it goes very slowly forward, but it goes foreward anyway :) This think is gonna be BIG!!!:joystick:

linden
Worked on some panels. Here is the CDU, buttons are not attached and the edges are not painted And the VHF, Credit to Strix who have helped me on this on. Some Parts The disc on an encoder, degrees between the numbers is 18 and the encoder is 20steps/360, so as i turn the encoder it will show a number as the encoder "clicks" same for the wheel, the plate whit 75,50,25,00 has a different degree number, still working on that one. agrasyuk
very nicely done. it is very interesting solution for the VHF. the only thing i not really a fan of is that value displayed can differ and not be commanded (i understand it will be easy to just reset by turning all the way to the edge). far fetched and perhaps out of your scope but drive those with servos or steppers would be super cool. I just got my own cheapo CNC engraver from china, will be playing with that tonight :) Edited November 7, 2012 by agrasyuk Anton. My pit build thread . I bought the ones from Bodnar and they have 10mm , in the clear plexi you lasered 6 mm for the axis. danipelos
Hey Linden how do you plan to synchronize the enconder inputs and the digits shown in your panel? Nice work by the way!
linden
The encoder has 18degrees/step and the digits on the plate is 18degrees apart, so it works. I cant synchronize the digits to the game,so it needs to be set to the right number before, then it will work.
