QuiGon
@QuiGon : I tryed to use your ATO_FlightPlan.lua file to put AI FA-18C on CVN Stennis in the PG. The planes never appear as static planes on the CVN but that's not a ploblem. My second mission was planned with 2 FA-18C in SEAD support. The 2 planes appeared on the deck and I was nearly enjoying this new possibility but Number 1 tryed to move and stopped immediatly and the 2 planes never moved again :( Don't know why ... Hmm, I've not tested AI compatibility very much to be honest. In my campaign I usally fly coop missions with only player controlled wingmen and usally all other support elements beeing landbased. But sometimes there will be a seperate two ship CAP flight of AI-Hornets in the mission that is scheduled to take off at sometime during the mission. They spawn at the start of the mission and keep waiting on the deck and on one or two occasions, when the mission went on for long enough, I've actually seen them to start moving to the catapults and launch. So it does work under some circumstances, but I don't know what these circumstances have to look like exactly (maybe no player controlled aircraft on the ship?) :dunno: Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! PB0_CEF
Can it be a configuration problem : too heavy for carrier launch ? I will make tests again to see if AI will take off in my campaign's configurations  [/url]All known Dynamic Campaign Engine Campaigns Last DCE news : Crisis in PG - Blue version
PB0_CEF
In the next mission an Intercept mission was programmed for a lone F/A-18C on the CVN Stennis. It appeared normally but never took off. I don't know if it was because there was no threat or because there was a bug. Load didn't seem to be a problem in normal missions : I tryed it with mission editor without any bugs... MrReynolds
Got the F/A-18 version working, looking great. Sorry to be "the pain that didn't read the whole thread"....but is there a way to set the mission start on the runway? I'm not the kind of guy that goes through cold start all of the time. Thanks. Got it. Edited the mission, then entered campaign. Coolio Edited July 25, 2018 by MrReynolds

PB0_CEF
2 new missions with F/A-18C not taking off : One SEAD escort and a CAP mission : this last mission I took time to observe the f/A-18C from the very start of the mission : the planes appeared well positionned on the deck but when they began to move the nose wheel suddenly entered into the deck (litterally) and the two planes stopped immediatly to move. The nose wheel was nearly half into the deck :(. It's the same problem each time. I don't have this problem with an editor made mission with cold ramp start with exactly the same load and the same planes... PB0_CEF
Ok, finally I decided to change F/A-18C to F/A-18C lot 20 and ... it works  No more SEAD and AIM-7 versus Iranian F-14 but at least now Hornets take off from carrier ! It seems that old FA-18C can't use the helipad method ... QuiGon
Are Desert Tiger and Wild Weasel playable with DCS 2.5? I cant get them to work. Can you be a little bit more precise on what exactly the issue is? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! Leon_Portier
Sure! Well I started with following the instructions in the ReadMe, putting the folder like in the picture, then put the minusses in front of the sanitizeModule options in the MissionScripting.lua. Then it should be selectable in the campaign menu in the game, but it does not show up. In the mission folder itself is a Firstmission.bat, which did generate the Desert Tiger 76_first mission visible in the picture, which does not show up either in DCS. So I can not play the campaign since I cant start the mission :(
71st_AH Rob
You are missing some files. There should be a file called Deser_Tiger_76.cmp that you will need to open up and edit with Notepad++. The path will be wrong since it was set up for DCS Open Alpha. Not at my computer right now but maybe another file in the unit folder inside the Desert Tiger 76 folder might need to be edited as well.
71st_AH Rob
Alternatively you can run the skip mission batch file and then go to the campaign maker and select those two files as the campaign and it will generate the required.cmp file.
Leon_Portier
I did try the skip mission you mentioned to solve it, in the picture is shown that the files do not show up in the campaign generator, even as the show all files option is selected. QuiGon
The .cmp-file is a part of the campaign itself and should be included in the .zip-file you have downloaded. The folder structure should look like this in the end: Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! The folder structure should look like this in the end: Okay, I did put the missing files in the folder, used the FirstMission.bat and SkipMission.bat, then used the campaign creator to create the campaign, like in the picture below. I cant fly the campaign, the campaign menu is empy, is there something I can do?
QuiGon
Don't use the campaign creator. Just put the files in the folder (like in my screenshot), start DCS, go to campaigns, select the Desert Tiger campaign and start it. You don't need to mess around with it in any way. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! Leon_Portier
Alright, I removed the installed Desert Tiger and Wild Weasel campaigns and extracted only the Desert Tiger one to match your screenshot. I started DCS afterwards and it still looks like in the screen below, empty. My Campaigns is empty aswell.
QuiGon
Alright, now everything looks fine. Not sure why it doesn't work for you. Just to be sure: The folder from your screenshot is the DCS installation folder and not the one in Saved Games? QuiGon
That's weird. You could try to open the .cmp file with a text editor and adjust the 4 path entries in it to match your path exactly. Maybe that helps. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! Leon_Portier
I did edit the .cmp file of the campaign, with the correct directorys - just needed to change DCS openbeta to DCSWorld. The campaign remains hidden in the main menu though. I made a little experiment on the side, installing the single mission Rebel Convoy did work and is playable. I also tried to install a different campaign called Cordovia vs Dreamland, I have the same problem with it, could the not showing up be reladed to any campaign? Edit: I could make a campaign with the campaign creator with 2 empty missions aswell, it shows up in the campaign menu but only if I put it in the Saved Games folder. QuiGon
Interesting. Another guess out of the blue: Maybe the problem is in the language. You have set your DCS installation to german, but the campaigns folder is located in the EN folder and maybe this folder only gets checked if you're running DCS in english. If you want to try, you could change the "lang" attribute in the "autoupdate.cfg" in the main DCS folder to "EN" and run DCS Repair to change your DCS installation to english. But that is just a wild guess :dunno: Edit: Is the Cordovia vs Dreamland campaign also located in an EN-folder? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! Leon_Portier
Switched to english, no joy. The Cordovia vs Dreamland is in an EN folder aswell - like the empty test campaign I put together. Only the test campaign shows up in the campaign menu. I did figure out something interesting though, if I replace the Missions of the Desert Tiger campaign with empty missions, the campaign shows up! Also I can not open the nor the Desert Tiger neither the Cordovia vs Dreamland missions in the mission editor, they are missing in the file selection.
