Primer not functional?

I've been wondering kind of the same thing.

I don't know how realistic this is, but at first when the 109 came out, the fuel pressure gauge would actually indicate a rise in pressure as you actuated the fuel primer...but now the gauge doesn't move at all when priming.

Would love to know as well.

You don't need the primer handle for normal engine starts. This was changed long time ago (it's a feature of the real aircraft). The fuel pressure needle rises only after engine start.

All you have to do is:

-push curcuit breakers (A100, V100, A101, E101, F135, F211)

-open both fuelpumps

-throttle 1cm forward

-both magnetos M1+M2

-call crew for starter

-when crew says ready -> pull starter handle

Thanks!

But what's the correct procedure for the real aircraft?

Use the primer handle or not?

The Primer in the 109 as the 190 is only for low Temperatur, both Engine are Fuel Injected normal Operation dont need any Primer..
