EHMSD Symbology Brightness

Recommended Posts

Since 2.5.6 OB the moving map on the EMPCD is so bright that I cannot read the symbology overlay.

I can turn the map brightness down, but it turns the symbology down equally so that I still cannot read the symbology.

How can I turn the map brightness down and the symbology up?

I found putting it in night mode worked (upper right toggle button)

Thanks for the reply noisy, I discovered that as well, but in my case (VR) it's still not enough contrast.

You can always turn off the moving map. Not ideal, but it's the only official way right now.

If you use the mod that aceviper linked (my mod btw, thanks for the reference!) and only want to have the AMPCD tweak, just use step 3 of the manual installation procedure (replace AMPCD_init.lua in \DCS\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\Multipurpose_Display_Group\AMPCD\indicator\). It'll get replaced by the default file after every update or repair of DCS, so either keep a copy and replace it every time, or use a mod manager. I haven't tested if that particular file passes IC for multiplayer. The entire mod doesn't, because I use a custom texture, but just the AMPCD_init.lua might pass.

I think you're one of the first people I've heard of that actually uses the moving map
