I did a test with the SU-25T against a SAM site(Hawk), and with and without ECM, the site still fires at the same distance. ie: it seems like ECM has zero effect on the tracking of the sam radar. jetkid Posted December 24, 2016 Share Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) External ECM pods on SU25T are not so effective against powerful SAM radars. SAMs are very clever on tracking targets despite the little jammers SU25T employs. Anyway to test ECM pods you can follow SU25T AI from another radar equipped aircraft and try to lock the frogfoot while managing the AI to enable and disable the ECM pods.
