Hey Sydy,

 

I too have had this problem in the past and have noticed a few other members have the same.

 

Try the following:

 

1. Right-click your DCS shortcut and select "Properties".

2. Select the "Compatibility" Tab.

3. Tick the "Disable full-screen optimisations" box: as shown in the attached picture.

 

Now I'm not saying this is a verified cure or work-around, but I have not had the screen freeze on any missions (I've played about 10 of the TF74 Tomcat on latest OB) lately. It may just be coincidental, and I have not tested on any other campaigns as yet.

Few questions :

- what was the B-52 target ?

- did you used Mission planner to change you weapons ?

- did you change the conf_mod settings : Triggerstart : false to true ?

Hey CEF, just to follow up on this, I just flew an escort mission for FA-18C pinpoint strike on Batumi armed with JSOWs. Again they just flew their assigned route, arrived at the "Attack" waypoint, then turned around to RTB. Granted the weather was poor. Same parameters as above, I did not enter Mission Planner before flying.

Actually, you have the same problem as Agrrregat.

So I suggest you to read this post, and if it doesn't work, to post here a screen of the installation of your campaigns by expanding the tree on the left.

I tried to reset everything, deleting all the modified folders and starting from scratch.

 

Now it works correctly, I am not sure what I did wrong before, but surely I did something...

I confirm there must be a bug :(
I had one B52 JSOW Strike the other day in the TF74 Hornet campaign (Open Beta) and it was a pure joy to watch.

A wall of MiGs headed towards us to intercept the bombers, but they were a little late and the B52 dropped all their JSOWs. There were 3 or 4 Bombers and each of them dropped a a massive load of ordnance on a poor SA-2 site.

The MiGs suddenly turned around, chased and engaged the AGMs. Some AGMs were shot down, but there were just too much of them in order to kill them all.

It was a sad day for the guys serving in the SA-2 site. Largest strike I have seen in many years of DCS flying!

Just a quick question, which file do I have to edit to use the Supercarrier? Other than the Base Mission.

Just a quick question, which file do I have to edit to use the Supercarrier? Other than the Base Mission.

 

I did just that (switched the standard carrier to super carrier in the base mission) and it seems to be working okay.

 

A handy tip.....Unlink all the static aircrafts before switching the carrier and relink them again after so they remain in the same location on the deck and not all bunch up in the middle.

 

Also what is interesting is that spawning on the deck is now okay with the static aircrafts in the latest open beta.

You may be right. I am not versed with the other files you mentioned. I went as far as starting the first mission, checking the AI flights took off as scheduled and that was it. I haven't gone as far as playing through a few missions to make sure all the mechanics were still working.

 

I also notice in the Hornet over PG campaign which is what I am playing at the moment, the CVN-72 Lincoln home carrier is actually using the CVN-74 Stennis model but called CVN-72 Lincoln in the campaign. So what I did was replaced the old CVN-74 Stennis model with the super carrier CVN-72 Lincoln for "CVN-72 Lincoln" in the base mission. Perhaps the CVN Stennis references in the files you mentioned will still work since it is just a name, irrespective if it's using the old Stennis model or any of the super carrier models.

 

I guess we should wait for the DCE experts to chime in.

At the moment, we're testing to see how best to integrate the superCarrier, but in the meantime, I think you can integrate it by changing only the type in base_mission.miz,

Do not touch the different names, this will break the code.

Hi Miguel, I just found something weird. When I activate the indo-pak mod through JSGME. DCS open beta refuses to start. It simply shows the splash screen then when the splash screen disappears, nothing else happens.

 

I repeated activating and deactivating the mod just to be sure. And I get the same result everytime I activate the mod.

I have an issue with the tomcat tf-68 caucasus campaign. It wont load the second mission. After i land on the carrier and quit the game freezes and thats it. If i land on the carrier and select "quit to desktop", it quits to desktop and i get the mission summary. I choose to generate the next mission, but when i load in i get the same old CAP mission as before. It's the same if i choose to skip the first mission. It just wont.

 

I mean, noone wants to be stuck in doing night traps over and over right?...
