DCS World Open Beta Dedicated Server

Having trouble after updating dedicated server to 2.5.6.

 

The server connects and appears in my DCS site profile with the correct IP and port listed. When I select the server is shows 0.0.0.0 and not running. The local browser shows the correct server name and it is running. I have port forwarding mapped for 10308 and it worked at 2.5.5.

 

Suggestions?

^I'm seeing the same problem with today's update, DCS Dedicated Server Open Beta (2.5.6.47404). A blank white window where the DCS logo usually gets displayed, and local WEB GUI claims the server is unresponsive.

I had the same issue, its a problem with the ports.

Try to set them correctly, if it doesnt work try to enable the upnp on the router, and if it still doesnt work check your firewall, try disabling the firewall and check if you can connect.

Hi Guys,

help!

 

I have been trying to get the server set up as a VM in Azure, i dont seem to be having much luck, i have created the appropriate port forwarding in the azure NSG, and the firewall on the server, etc.. but i dont seem to get past the server launch, i just end with a white square in the middle of the monitor?

 

has anyone else done this, successfully and can talk me through what i have screwed up ?

so twofold problem now resolved.

 

Problem 1 no missions in my list, because

Problem 2 i couldn't connect to the server, locally...

 

Resolved 1, by loading the missions from the remote under profile

Resolved 2, by installing chrome

Anybody knows how to lift the default Tacview 10 minutes playback delay without having Tacview installed in a dedicated server???

 

I have tried to add the Tacview plugin configuration lines to the options.lua, but it does not work.. it still applies the 10 playback delay with ["tacviewPlaybackDelay"] = 0 in the config.lua file. My guess is it does not work because I don't have Tacview installed.

 

I do not want to install Tacview in this server, I want to keep it to the bare minimums.. Its an old rig with limited everything.

As soon as I've updated the latest version 2.5.6.49314. Our servers are continuously crashing. Logs have been sent. In an attempt and to fix the continued problem. I've completely uninstalled DCS dedicated server and reinstalled it starting clean.

After reinstalling the Servers are still crashing.

 

crashlog indicates

SECURITYCONTROL: Manifest 'dcs_manifest.x86_64' has 3 invalid or duplicate file entries

Anyone no what this is indicating? There is no indication of which files are duplicated.

 

All servers are been started from DCS Updater GUI / Launcher Utility through each instance. If I roll back to the previous update then all works as it should.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

That said SSE 4.1 should be implemented from AMD Bulldozer (2011) and Intel Penryn Core 2 Duos (2007). So we're talking 9-13 years old hardware.

 

I believe what's more likely to affect a lot of dedicated servers is setting the correct CPU type when virtualizing.

I know because it happened to me.

 

So make sure you set the CPU type to

A) the most modern one that your host CPU supports or

B) set the CPU type to "host" if you are willing to expose it

 

That way the VM can use those instruction sets.
