That's what the manufacturers site says (partly):

Quote:
JHMCS Features & Benefits
  • Modular design accommodating night vision
  • Monocular (right eye)
  • Magnetic Tracker
  • CRT image source
  • Integrated line-of-sight cueing
  • Integrated debrief camera
  • Integrated left and right upper reticles (puppers)
(Don't know what they mean with the last point though)

Switzerland got it the same time they integrated the AIM-9X, using the JHMCS you can slew the seeker head of the missile by moving your head.

This is my/googles translation for the official description of the update:
Spoiler:
Equipment Supplement / Part 2

Missile firing tests and flight tests with Swiss F/A-18 in the USA
On March 21, 2007, the Emmen Airfield launched an F/A-18C Hornet in the direction of the United States of America.
The destination of the Swiss Hornet was the California shooting range of the US Navy in China Lake. Between April 2 and December 15, 2007,
various air-to-air missile tests were conducted under the direction of armasuisse, the VBS Supply and Technology Center.

At the US Navy shooting ranges in China Lake, California, and the US Army at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico,
appropriate equipment and remote-controlled drones were available as flying targets to provide the Infra-Red missile (Type Sidewinder AIM-9X) in a live fire test.
In addition, the entire F/A-18 weapon system was verified after this upgrade of the equipment.
These included shooting tests with the radar weapon and tests with the Data-Link system.
A new kind of helmet visor (JHMCS, Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System) was also used, with which the pilot can deploy the new Sidewinder
guided missiles faster to a target and thus has a decisive tactical advantage in aerial combat.
In total, around 45 flights and the launch of 13 guided missiles were planned. [...]

EDIT: It's back a few years, but I knew I saw the Hornet (J-5001) with the "kill stickers" on it
Maybe someone can identify the drones used
I think it went on 2 sorties to the US

Of course I bought the F-18 though
Does this pre-order push the F-14 back even further now?
I didn't know there was a F16 module for DCS. Where do you get that from?

I see. So like does the pilot need to do anything before hand to use JHMCS? Like plugging the helmet in to integrate the JHMCS to the plane or...

That is up to ED on how they molded it. In real life, yes, there are connections that the pilot makes prior to using the JHMCS.

*** EDIT ***
There is also a panel for the JHMCS where the pilot turns it on and off.

There is no F-16 module.

We're just joking around about which is better. Personally I like the F-16 a wee bit more than the F18. But its only a wee-bit. They're both awesome.

It also needs to be aligned each flight if i read the manual correct. There should be some visual references for the pilot to check wether alignment is correct or not.
