Yes, I have had to go back to previous version. This one is broken. I have 2 VR and 2 2D settings for OB and Stable and none of them work in this new version. As said above, it just loads the Default preset.

I hope this can be fixed soon.

Just to follow up, I couldn't go back to the previous version by simply replacing the exe, as it wouldn't recognise my existing presets.

I had to restore from my overnight backup the AppData\Local\Skate_Zilla_Graphics_Stud folder to get it working.

Ah, so that’s why my graphics settings conked out on me last night...right after I updated this program. Bummer, but glad to know what caused it I guess.

Thank you for the reports guys, I'm trying to narrow it down in my head how this got through, or if it was a result of a fail safe line I put in the code at the last minute.

My entire setup is being transported to a new location and will not be online until Tuesday at the earliest.

But I would like to know some behavior details if you dont mind.

So if you choose say preset 1, and launch DCS, does the updater App disable the button and leave it on preset 1 or does it disable the button and shift it back to default?

A lot of code changed when the drop boxes were removed in place of the button and context menus, so I will double check the entire Preset code as soon as I am back online.

I may also Code the Updater Exe Backup the User / AppData / Local Folder as well during update time as well.

Skate, I’m using the older version now, but I’m 99% certain the new version went back to ‘default’ after selecting any preset.

Minimize Tab? I mean how do you make the program go away and only appear in the drop down menu?

My problem is, the "restore app window" function is failing. I made the mistake of minimizing the app. Now I cannot get it back, even after quiting and restarting the app. Windows sees the app is running and open, but the app is nowhere to be found. It's almost as if it's off screen. Thing is, I have one screen and am not running an extended desktop. I have no way of getting the app back on my desktop.

Im still trying to pinpoint why it doesnt come back when double clicking the tray icon, I may put a fail safe for that too. But its been a on and off issue since adding the system tray, might have something to do with the code telling it to hide when minimized. If I can confirm that I'll change it to gibe user option to show/hide in taskbar when minimized.

you can open the config XML and change the position setting.

My equipment is still im the process of being moved and is still in shipping crates.

Skate, is there a way to stop the utility nagging about an update? If not, it would be a really good idea, as every time I launch it, I have to hit 2 buttons regarding updates before it will start.

I will add option to allow user to check for auto update at launch, but it wont be in older builds

After a fresh install of Windows 10 version 1809 the utility cannot find the Saved Games directory anymore. In the settings the icon stays red. The icon for the game is green. In the application.log it says that Saved Games is " not detected". But the browse field shows the correct directory name.

I removed the Saved Games and let DCS create a new one. Still not working.

I tried an older version of the utility but still the same problem. In the application log it says "not detected".

Is there something to check?

DCS Updater settings now working: in browsing for Saved Games you must select the sub-directory as well.

Maybe my fault but in my (fading..) memory I don't remember this.

Problem solved.

Just an update on what I've done with the code since getting my PC unpacked:

-Removed Preset Failsafe that was forcing App to switch to default profile (Adjusted some profile launch settings)

-Working on debugging some other version numbers code.

-Will add option to make update check optional on launch.

-Will add failsafe to restore app window to center of screen, still looking into why it doesnt come back properly when minimized.

Hopefully this weekend I can push it to the server. But i have a lot of other things I need to catch up on.,

The App not showing after minimized occurs if you try to launch the App a 2nd time when it's already running instead of bringing the app back up, then, when you try to bring the original app back up, it remains in a hidden state.

I'm trying to re-order some things around so the restore option works better.

So far the main issue is if you have it Pinned to the taskbar and / or launch a 2nd instance. you have to double click to minimize again, then double click the tray icon.

I may change it to where it always shows when minimized, unless the user sets it to hide when minimized.

Update 12-23-2018:

-The Presets issue is resolved and being tested.

-The Minimizing Code has been adjusted, Icon will remain in taskbar instead of hiding in system tray. (The Form.Show/Hide Code is bugged somehow).

-Added Option to Enable AutoCheck for New Version on startup, new default setting is that it wont.

Cool. I was able to get it back by right-clicking the app in the task bar and clicking "Maximize."
