hey to all

I struggle to handle some mods that I want to enter in DCS I tried both via JGSME OVGME and manually to enter the Spruance and Arleigh Burke Class Ships but the ships are invisible as you can see in the photos that I attach.

Any idea? thanx

The object is definitively there, so it's probably just a matter of folder structures being changed with later patches. Check the folders inside a default ship and replicate the same structure on the mods, should suffice.

Many Mods were made obsolete by version 2.5.5 of DCS, because it requires newer versions of 3D-shape files. When you try to use one of these Mods its shapes cant be loaded and thus it cant be seen.

The only fix is that the Mod author has to update the Mod, but many authors are not active any longer and thus the Mod cant be used anymore.

the User Files section is not curated and so it contains a lot of Mods that cant work on the current version of DCS, when I detect an obsolete Mod, I try to leave a comment on the file entry to warn future users.

Dear Rudel is that applies with these two ships?

I haven’t used that specific mod, but you can check the dcs.log file, mods not compatible log an error saying that the shape version isn’t supported

This is the message that gets posted on dcs.log when you use an old Mod, with 3D shapes not supported by DCS 2.5.5
