New campaigns mods AD :

You only need to copy/paste respectives files in good Theater (PG or Caucasus) then use SkipMission.bat if you want to continue your campaign...

 

 

Changelog :

 

- AD 11.0.5 :

*Hotstart and intercept_hotstart are back ! You can choose hotstart in the conf_mod.lua file in the Init folder. Default settings are false for Hotstart and true for Intercept_hotstart.

*Intercept mission bug for IA on CVN fixed

*Multiplayer working better but still work in progress :

To play with two different types of aircrafts you need :

-To be on the same side.

-To be in the same package : for that, to help mission generation, select a main mission (Strike or Antiship Strike) for the first selected plane for Strikers or a secondary mission (SEAD, Escort) for capable planes. The secondary plane type should be able to find the good mission to be on the same package : Escort or SEAD in the first case or Strike, Antiship strike in the second case...

 

 

 

The only campaign you have to download completly is Tomcat over PG-CVN because of big bugs to fix...

Is the multi-aircraft type working on the Gazelle Campaign? I need to try this one!

The multi aircraft will not really work in this campaign because it will be difficult to find another helico to be part of the same package with Iran-Irak war.

 

I made a small Normandy DCE campaign with Mirage F1 and Frenchpack with Gazelle but I have to rework it : it's too difficult for Gazelle with bocage ! Engagement range is too short to survive ...

 

This theater could allow Sa342M and Sa342 Mistral in escort ...

I have a problem with the Iran - Irak Gazelle campaign : I converted it to replace the Gazelle by the Ka50, and I have an error message at the end of the first mission :

Apologies if this has been asked already, but what is performance like in vr? This looks really goodbut I wonder if there might be too much going on to run well in vr.

I really hope I’m wrong because this looks bad ass

 

No problems, especially after last updates with the prune utility.

Can I win a DCE Campaign?

 

Hi All

 

I love the concept of the dynamic campaigns. They are great and a lot of fun to play.

 

However, I was wondering whether it is possible to win the campaign and if yes, what do I have to do? Destroy all red troops?

While playing last night a thought has crossed my mind. Would it be feasible / possible to implement the concept of weapons inventory to DCE?

 

In the mission editor we already have inventory on airfields and certain entities, like ships. Moreover, the expenditure can be tracked via the debrief logs, so I guess it's possible to calcluate how much was spent and adjust the levels afterwards.

 

I can think of some challenges right away though:

- Might make sense to track only the stock levels of player's squadron, otherwise this might get a bit messy.

- What will happen when DCE engine will assign the standard loadout with the weapon that has already been depleted.

- Is is possible to account for jettisoned weapons (I think yes) and weapons lost with a/c (i guess not directly).

 

Having said that, I think this could really add another dimension of gameplay into DCE :)

Yes it’s really an interesting thing to add to DCE

 

We have to stabilise and debug existing system yet so we will not add new things before that. But it’s interesting to begin to think of it

One issue I’m having with Tomcat caucuses is on a strike mission occasionally it will I think load a third tomcat that immediately crashes and explodes below the ship damaging my jet And others. Seems to be only on strikes.

I was hoping someone could help me? When I start the campaign it says I’m missing the navy deck crew module. I have the us navy equipment and airfield equipment folders in mods/tech but I can’t find a navy crewman mod anywhere.

Apologies if this has been covered already, I had a good look but couldn’t find an answer.

Please Ignore, I got it working (I hope) deleted and then reinstalled the navy deck crew mod and removed the airfield equipment mod ( for some reason I thought I needed that one) and I got the briefing for the first mission. I can’t wait to play it though will have to wait till tonight.

Hey there, is the Stennis TACAN still 74X ? Can't get it to work with the “old” 74X (compass keep rotating) and I don’t know where to get the info (tried on the mission planner before the mission but TACAN is not there, nor in the mission briefing or in kneeboard)...

 

EDIT/UPDATE: found the info, is in the campaign summary... Stennis TACAN is now 37X while Vinson is 38X

I have the F/A-18C campaign over Caucasus (CVN-74 Stennis) and installed the navy mod (although I don't see any difference in the other missions I fly from CVN Stennis) in my Saved Games\DCS-Beta\Mods\tech Folder as described.

I can start the first Mission but after a few seconds in the Cockpit on the deck I get a CTD. Do you have an idea? Maybe because I have a german version?
