Jabbers_
Just some notes in inaccuracies Marshal Stack starts at 2000' 600' AGL should be reached by the start of the approach turn Hook should be lowered before entering the recovery pattern (3nm DME), not on downwind Groove is 15-18 seconds Touch and Go Bolter should be fly dirty on BRC to 600' 30 deg aob at interval (meaning if others are in the pattern, make sure you are in interval with them) Twitch2DCS - Bring twitch chat into DCS. David OC
What is the correct rule here when starting the break? Can you start your descent when going into the break and spiral down to 600 for the downwind, or are you meant to hold 800 until leveling off, then drop down to 600. I generally just spiral down. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. MooneyTail
The correct way is to do a level break and then once on downwind, descend to 600'
David OC
The correct way is to do a level break and then once on downwind, descend to 600' Thanks MooneyTail I've been keeping fairly level to the 90 degree drop gear spot, need more work on staying level for the next 90 degrees before the downwind. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. Victory205
Descending under G in the break is a good way to fly into the water. Viewpoints are my own.
David OC
For me it's around where you start dropping the gear and flaps, I tend to let it slowly fall below the 800 mark towards the 600 to early. The break is just getting that steep bank angle right for the pull. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. Jabbers_
You are technically suppose to level break then stay at 800' till you are on speed, then descend. I imagine in practice once you get good you can do it all at the same time. Twitch2DCS - Bring twitch chat into DCS. SplashOneGaming.com - Splash One is a community built on combat flight simulation.
