I'd also be very excited to see the AGM-65E/F Maverick finally make it to the F/A-18, even if it just means using the seeker head to find targets at first. Just to give the Hornet some standoff A/G capability.

So I flipped the switch to outboard and said, "Boys it's time to dance"
And they asked me where you going as I started to diverge

Said, "I've had enough of this shit, man, I'm going to merge"
'Cause BVR is great but now it's time to have some fun
So Darkstar Judy, Judy
I'm going in for guns

...
So I put him in my HUD and I almost flipped the switch
But then I thought, how could I miss? 'Cause that's a huge bitch
And only a big pussy would use his two fox one's
It's time to get medieval
I'm going in for guns
But i bet it can be frustrating for people that only lives for AIM-120's Keep the faith, one day you'll have you working system for your BVR thing, depends where they'll end up in the pool list :S Wonder if they'll ever queue us on what their decision will be.

You don't do CAP in F18 or you probably don't own it at all right? The aim120ay hit even if the lock is broken. Not the aim7. So yeah ...

Why is ATFLIR Targeting Pod and guided bombs separate ? ? ? ? Please don't tell me we'll get them separate

Because they are 2 separate things. You don't need one to use the other. And it goes both ways.

I own it since day 1, but i do not use AIM-120's, i find it boring, i rather the fight close and do WVR, but, my personal choice and this is why i avoid public servers as it's mainly what people load up. But back to the subjet, only long distance missile i dream of now is the HARM cuz bringing the fight close to a SAM is a bit nasty.

Then your comment is weird. The loss of lock big is not related to the AIM120.

I'll throw in my 2¢, I'm most interested in the SEAD capabilities of the Hornet, so I'm looking forward to the HARM and related systems most.

I can't wait to use the ATFLIR and fire laser-guided Mavericks and GBU-12 LGBs.
