Ground textures mod 6.0

IDB sound mod for the 109 (Even better than diveplane a superb work)

Diveplane sounds for 190/P-51

 

And a few others off the top of my head.

I use very few. And try to keep them to a minimum to avoid problems.

 

For 1.5:

Starways DLC

or

Bartheks Terrain

HD Moon

Labels as a Dot (but rarely have labels on)

Personal skin pack for P51 (just easy to manage after patches)

Mirage US Navy Skin pack

 

I use to have a lot of cockpit mods but they were broken with all the patches and I got tired of chasing them down.

 

There are others out there of interest but I am pretty lazy these days.

 

Tried the F18 Mod but the Russian pit killed it for me.

 

NTTR - None but interested in the Target Range Mods

I use Devrim's mods for the Ka-50. I have several. He makes easy to use mods and a good place to start to get a feel for modding DCS stuff. Also have Devrim's mods for other aircraft, the Su-27 English cockpit and his version of Ricardo's English blue cockpit for the Ka-50.

 

I have other mods by others both JSGME friendly and not.

 

There is a forum here just for mods. Some of those mods found there may not be in the DCS Users Files stash.

 

The separate (JSGME) MODS sub-directory can be placed separately in the 1.5 Stable version, the 1.5 OpenBeta version and the separate 2.0 builds. Not to be confused with the Mods directory of each build.

 

I modded heavily the older 1.2 build and is where I learned the "craft" .

 

Usually get my stuff through the DCS Users Files stash.

 

I'm not much of a groupie type, I do what I like, I see something interesting, I try it.

 

In 1.2 I made a separate "Mod" directory just for modding, now 1.2.16 build and I still have it separate from 1.5 and 2.0 . I can play it still in Single Player.

 

JSGME is really nice. Remember to move all your mods to the left column before doing an update patch so they do not get corrupted.

 

My 1.2.16 stash I unlinked the updater file so I don't accidentally lose it if a "forced" update occurs or I forget not to take the suggested update.

Do any of you guys use the universal model visibility mod or isn't it worth the hassle. Thx

 

I tried it but stopped.

It might work fine for the jet pilots but for we prop drivers it's got a disadvantage.

The point where the game 3D model turns into the imposter the aircraft vanishes entirely.

That's usually well inside mg131 range, so bad for me in my 109.
