Mission 2

Brutal mission end as I was engaging my 2nd Fencer and got the weapon hold instruction but the 120 was already on the way. Mission just finished with no messages.

 

Have to precise that I restarted it once with Shift+R.

 

Bug or triggered to end if you dont respect the orders from the AWACS ?

Replayed it. Again the missile was on his way when the order came but luckily I was shooting at the first Fencer my wingman got and the missile didnt it. Mission success.

 

Like always, your campaigns are really immersive. Thanks Baltic and Viper !

 

PS : maybe we can see what Magic is looking like, love her voice.

Thanks Zarma! Sometimes there is nothing we can do trigger - wise to avoid those narrow points in time between SHOOT / WEAPONS HOLD flags :) glad it played OK on second try.

 

Can’t comment on Magic but can on Ranger. At that time Jack Flash who voiced Wizard in the first mission got heavily involved in Ranger’s excellent Piercing Fury campaign and was unable for some time to assist with the Georgian War, so we thought we’d turn it into a joke :) glad you spotted it!

 

Enjoy the rest of the campaign and please share your thoughts when you finish it

Thanks for the feedback. You should have a grace period after the weapon hold order before firing kills the op. If the last Fencer was alive when the hold order is issued, and then gets shot down, this will also trigger the faikure. You should definitely receive a message (Abort abort abort! Weapon release not authorized!) prior to getting kicked. I'll check and make sure the VO didn't get dropped from the .miz, sometimes this happens as we go through updates.

Replayed Mission 2 and I noticed on the radio sound effects were a bit different when Two was saying the lines "Well I'll admit They are in a tough spot here....Still, fighting without any hope of winning? It's odd that the..... " and the sound volume when One was confirming Magic's order was pretty low.

RE: two's voiceover, I think you're just hearing a different inflection in his voice. He's a bit more subdued than in some of his other lines and that produces less of the distortion effect.

 

RE: one's volume it is a tiny bit lower, but your background music is also in a crescendo at that moment...I don't think it's anything worth making the localization teams repeat effort over urgently. I'll make a note for the next time I have to patch a gameplay issue.

I see. Yeah it's not a real issue or anything. I just thought to let you know, just in case you missed it.

 

Also One's volume was more than a tiny bit lower compared to the next line that two said after it, crescendo bgm or not during that time coz I replayed it again without the bgm.
