AlaskanGrizzly
Skulleader, Do you see 'gsdll64.dll' in your main Kneeboard Builder folder? What language are you using in Windows? Are there any special characters in the filenames of the .pdf files you are trying to import? It looks like you might me experiencing an error with ghostscript, but I am not sure of the cause yet. dooom
great app alaskanG. I am having trouble displaying the dynamic info in multiplayer as it only ever shows the plates for an old 159th GAR mission.... i have tried it with my AC marked "PLayer" in ME as well as "Client" and also tried numerous airframes and online miz. Although i really do like the custom Kneeboards for each airframe. great work - thanks for it. AlaskanGrizzly
I am having trouble displaying the dynamic info in multiplayer as it only ever shows the plates for an old 159th GAR mission.... i have tried it with my AC marked "PLayer" in ME as well as "Client" and also tried numerous airframes and online miz. Try this: 1) Navigate to the '\Saved Games\DCS\Data' folder and delete the "KneeboardData' folder. 2) Open 'Kneeboard Builder'. The 'KneeboardData' folder will be rebuilt automatically. 3) Add the 'dynamic kneeboards' to your kneeboard. 4) Try running a multiplayer or single player mission again.

dooom
hmmmm - unfortuantely it didnt work. happy to try alternate suggestions though... im happy with it as is (great little program :)) but yeah the ability to pipe in the dynamic stuff would be a cherry on top for me. as you can see from the pic below - it keeps pulling in the same 159th GAR mission... the screenshot is from the F86f free flight in Instant Action... I also loggged into the 104th as a su27 and got the same dynamic breifing display. i deleted the Kneeboard data folder as indicated. launched kneeboard builder as admin cleared custom general dcs world kneeboard added "default dynamic" Built kneeboard for general dcs world launched intant action f86 miz... no joy launched 104 Mp as su27 ... no joy. i do however see the .lua files in my C:\Users\XXXX\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD directory... RabidRider
Size and position option - blank screen, kneeboard freezes Hi AlaskanGrizzly, Looking forward to trying kneeboard, but I ran into a problem. I've just uploaded the Mig15 Quickstart guide in the kneeboard builder, all went well until I tried to run the size and position option. I get a white screen and the program freezes. I'v checked the integrity of the system with cmd, but no errors, incomplete or damaged files there. Problem occured before and after I updated kneeboard. Any help much appreciated. AlaskanGrizzly
Hi AlaskanGrizzly, Looking forward to trying kneeboard, but I ran into a problem. I've just uploaded the Mig15 Quickstart guide in the kneeboard builder, all went well until I tried to run the size and position option. I get a white screen and the program freezes. In your 'Kneeboard Builder/Images' folder, look and see if there is an image file named 'a10.png'. It looks like it cannot find that file. If it is missing, double click the 'updater.exe' and it should replacing the missing file(s).

AlaskanGrizzly
That file is present. Updated regardless, but still can't access size and position option. Could you try this prior version of Kneeboard Builder and see if it has the same issue when you try to open the position screen. (Don't update when it asks you) The kneeboard import feature probably won't work with this version, but changing the position should. This is just to help me see if a recent update has caused the issue. http://s13solutions.azurewebsites.net/apps/KneeboardBuilder%201.6.2.3.zip If it is still not working you can also try this .Net Framework Verification Tool from Microsoft to see if there is a problem with your .Net 4.5 installation http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135
RabidRider
Just tried the older version but I get the same result, size and position won't work, program crashes. After running the .Net Frame Verification Tool, same result unfortunately. Everything else works just fine, and the default position of the kneeboard is good. EasyEB
Yes. Windows 7. I got it working though after running the .net framework fixer twice. Didn't notice any difference between the runs and rebooted both times. The app is a gem by the way. Great work!
Dejjvid
Hi and thank you for a very good app! It does not seem to work with UltraMFCD though. The kneeboard is displayed in one of the exports for UltraMFCD, and if you don't run UltraMFCD, it is displayed at the correct position. It sounds like you will need to ask the creator of UltraMFCD. I am not sure how his program is interfacing with DCS and if it makes any modifications to the way the kneeboard is rendered by DCS. zaelu
Hello, I have this little problem with the last version of the program (installed o a different partition than windows 7). When I join 104th dedicated most of the times the kneeboard dynamic area looks like this The text is really enlarged and unfitted to page. When I go to the Kneeboard Builder the default dynamic is gone (it is the only one I use). Actually if I just restart the program the default dynamic is gone from installed (right) panel. AlaskanGrizzly
That is an issue with the Mig-21 kneeboard font scale being different than every other DCS module. I will take a look and see if I can remember which LUA file needs to be modified in the Mig-21 directory.
zaelu
Oh... I see... But not all the time is like that... sometimes is correct. Also shouldn't the Dynamic Page remain as "activated" in the program? AlaskanGrizzly
Oh... I see... But not all the time is like that... sometimes is correct. Also shouldn't the Dynamic Page remain as "activated" in the program? The right panel in Kneeboard Builder doesn't show what is currently in each kneeboard, it just shows what you want to add to the kneeboard. Use the View menu in the menu bar to view the current contents of each kneeboard.
