0414 Wee Neal
Hi Dumb ass question; how do I know what my bank angle is e.g. bank to 50Deg and do 4G turn? Captain Orso
Hmmm... the only thing I can think of is the mechanical Turn/Slip indicator between the HUD control panel and INS panel. That's rather small and not graduated in any way that you could really tell the difference between 45 and 50°, but it might help. I imagine you are learning landing on the Tarawa. I think it's something you are really just going to have to practice until it becomes second nature. And then you try it at night and everything goes to hell in a handbasket :D When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. 0414 Wee Neal
Hi thanks for the replies. It came up in the training mission on normal landing. I have been flying the A10c for years and that shows bank angle on the hud. AoA is a challenge. Looking forward to the ‘Hell in a Handbasket’ which is pretty much how all my training for the Harrier is going anyway. Great plane to fly! Shimmergloom667
I think that 45 should be 60° :) Yeah, that might well be, it looked nicely diagonal when I whipped it up in paint with only one coffee in my system so far :D i7 - 9700K | 32 GB DDR4 3200 | RTX 2080 | VKB Gunfighter Mk II /w MCG Pro | Virpil T-50CM2 Throttle | TrackIR 5 | VKB Mk.
