DCS always starts in non full screen

I do not think that this is a bug or I would have certainly seen it here on the forums but I do have a problem.

Whenever I start 1.5, it goes into non full screen mode. To get it to go into full screen, I have to go into the settings and check or uncheck the full screen option. This happens every time I start DCS no matter if I have the full screen checked or not. Half the time (for obvious reasons) I have to uncheck the full screen box to get it to actually go into full screen mode.

Please, before you make suggestions. Read what I have written carefully to save yourself the time of suggesting what I know will be suggested. Again: It does not matter whether the full screen is checked or not. It seems to be the act of changing the full screen status (be it on or off) that makes the sim boot up only after I have had to get out of the sim after either checking or unchecking the full screen mode.

Sorry if it sounds confusing post. But it's the only way I can put it so that people understand that I am actually having to change the status no matter what it is to get the thing to go into full screen mode.

Thanks guys: Mark:helpsmilie:

There has definitely been a change recently. How to tell whether in full or borderless screen anyway?

well, I have win10, I just change audio volume with the hotkeys on my keyboard, so if I see the osd bar volume appear then I'm not in the full screen :smartass:

I think 2.1 is different. I have an issue with full screen and head tracking discussed in another thread. It only happens in 1.5. 2.1 is fine, so I suspect there is a difference.

I can tell by the V-sync. I use adaptive 60 normally, so If I see screen tearing plus choppy TiR response, I know it did not enable and I'm in borderless. If no tearing plus smooth TiR - means I'm in fullscreen.

Though I admit something might have changed in latest 2.1.1. update, which introduced yet another freaky combination on my PC - When V-sync is ticked in the game settings, the sim says it supposedly runs at 60 (as per fps indicator enabled in ReShade)... but it also tears like hell, as if it actually didn't. My tiny brain cannot comprehend what the hell is going on here :D. Doesn't matter, though. Alt-Enter always makes it work "properly" again.

i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
