Have you guys seen this?

I hate those videos because in reality they do not show anything. That could be two Turkish F-16 training with each other or 2 Greek F-16 training with each other and any radio and sounds added.

I have never seen any of those video that I believe to be real engagements.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Maybe you have missed it, but we are getting an increasing tension between those two NATO allies about exploration of gas fields in the Aegean Sea:

I don't speak turkish, so I can't tell what the pilots are talking, but I doubt that this is training footage if its from recent flights over this area.

This is not new, this has been going for decades. And still not credible videos that show anything reliable nor definitive in term of aircraft dogfights in that region.

Turkish F16s apparently chasing Greek F16s, weapons hot!

Considering the HUD view clearly shows "SIM" I think we can safely assume "weapons hot" is an exaggeration.

Also no flares deployed by the guy who's defensive, and it looks like he's still got wing tanks? Doesn't seem like an engagement where anyone is seriously being threatening.

As perhaps no one outside turkish or greek military knows the actual ROE in this increasing crisis, one can just guess if the published stuff shows a real interception or something else. But the rather defensive manouvres of the opposite aircraft maybe indicates its not a pure training situation like the SIM symbology on the HUD suggests but maybe the opposite pilot didn't want to increase the tension by performing more aggressive evasive manouvres? Plus maybe turkish pilots are adviced to not shoot until shot upon, so the SIM mode is to prevent shooting by accident?
