Maverick87Shaka
Hi all admin, We notice on our server with the latest openbeta build, the 2.5.3.24984, that the server starts "lags" a minute after someone take a slot of the AV-8B. As soon as the AV-8B player back to spectator the server comes back to run smooth as usual for DCS. Anyone note the same behavior? Check that DCS is using an audio device, you can see it in the DCS.log in the first few lines. If it says it does not have any available then it might be the cause of your lags, that's how it was fixed on two servers I know of that had the same issue. Really don't know, today is going well!, yesterday we try with 4 server restart, one complete machine reboot, and it's always doing the same lags when someone take the AV-8B. Today it's going well ( found 0 available audio device(s) in log is still present! ) EDIT: Never mind, it's doing the same thing :(:(:(:( Edited December 10, 2018 by Maverick87Shaka FlighRIG => CPU: RyZen 5900x | RAM: 64GB Corsair 3000Mhz | GPU: nVIDIA RTX 4090 FE | OS Storage: SSD NVMe Samsung 850 Pro 512GB, DCS Storage: SSD NVMe Sabrent 1TB | Device: Multipurpose-UFC, VirPil T-50, TM WARTHOG Throttle, TrackHat, MFD Cougar with screen. kreisch
We do not have a solution currently, but the gamestar squadron has the exact same issue on one of our servers - our first one runs without problems. Maverick87Shaka
Apparanlty installing a virtual audio sound card solves the lags related to the harrier. Unbelivalbe, after many months run smoothing now we have to do this :D For anyone searching for software, we're using the free version of VirtualAudioCable. UPDATE: If you're using the RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol - Windows Remote Desktop) please keep in mind to change your local resources audio settings, and select "play on remote computer" Edited January 15, 2019 by Maverick87Shaka added link to help other admins FlighRIG => CPU: RyZen 5900x | RAM: 64GB Corsair 3000Mhz | GPU: nVIDIA RTX 4090 FE | OS Storage: SSD NVMe Samsung 850 Pro 512GB, DCS Storage: SSD NVMe Sabrent 1TB | Device: Multipurpose-UFC, VirPil T-50, TM WARTHOG Throttle, TrackHat, MFD Cougar with screen. ViFF
Hi Maverick87Shaka Thank you very much for this. Installing the free version of VirtualAudioCable has completely solved the problem of horrible lags when the sound buffer became full. We were getting this only when the AV-8B was being used. Cheers!
