Exclamation alarm siren and headlights against the aircraft.

Hey. I have got some idea. Someone who makes 3D models can finally make an alarm siren and headlights against the air to add some more raelism to take off in WW2 machines and more.

Searchlights are modeled and textured but not implemented yet.

OK, I found these lights. But there is no siren, I tried to do something myself but I can not do anything.

The model is in the DCS installation folder but the unit itself is not in DCS World yet.

+++ Would be useful if sirens could be controlled via triggers, and have the searchlights playable in CA.

Thanks, but will the AA and flak be able to fire at night if there are no search lights? Because the allied AA doesn’t seem to fire!

The Bofors fires but there are no tracers yet. You can easily test it by simply creating a mission with a Bofors within range and LOS of a stationary target (set the target to never move with ROE to never fire so that it can't destroy the Bofors, and yes the Bofors will fire on ground targets), give the blue side a Gamemaster, start the mission and take the position of the GM, center on the Bofors on the F10 map and climb into the world view with LCTRL-F11 and watch the Bofors go

Searchlights AFAIK were not used with tactical AAA. They would only be effective vs slow aircraft. Trying to catch a fighter in the night with a searchlight and hold it in the light beam would hardly be possible.

Having air raid sirens would be pretty cool. If would have to have a sound to play for the virtual world to hear, and I think you'd need a new triggered action in the ME to activate it, like when enemy aircraft are detected inside a trigger zone, and I'm not even sure if there is a detection event.

Yeah but mainly they are needed for atmosphere in night missions. But do you mean to say that if I fly a night mission over an airport any airport at night that the flak/AA will never fire? Certainly seems that way sadly... Is there any way to change this?
