Viggen Squadron

Hi!

Is there a squadron flying the Viggen somewhere ??

I am looking for a Viggen Squadron or pilots to fly with.

I am 38 years old and from Germany and a pretty normal guy :)

Have been flying the Viggen for about a year in single player, I also like the Mirage. Does anyone know how to go about starting a squadron? I suppose a place to start is to open it up on Discord.

Starting a Squadron is easy. Just get together a couple of people, decide on a theme or a plane, have a place to hang out and maybe a name and then just start flying together. It does not need schedules or training at the start. Just some people who enjoy the flying.

I am not sure if I can trigger your interest, but:

I am from germany as well, and as long as there is no Tornado, the Viggen will stay as one of my favorit modules.

I founded a german virtual squadron, the vJaBoG 34 "Allgäu". Long story shortened for you:

We're basically trying to keep things very simple and fun, but still want to learn proper flying beginning with the YaK and ending on the F-5.

There is more to it but we can talk about that later.

I really like to fly the Viggen to its potential, however I am struggling to find pilots to fly it with , and most of the time I am alone in the bird.

So to have a proper 2-ship I mostly fly other modules at the moment.

If I catched you're interest and you happen to have time on a thursday between 2000-2200 LCL, just raise your hand...

If I wouldn't be currently all over the place, dcs wise, you would have cought my intention. I'm from Germany too and my main interest lays in the F-14, but lately I developed an interest in the Viggen. Currently my knowledge of the airplane is VERY limited but I had some fun with it in public server doing a pre planned attack using the (forgot the name...sitting at the beach and reseted my brain).......tool.

If I ever figure out what I want, I may turn towards you, while waiting for the Tornado until I'm off to the F4F ;)

F-4 will be the next big thing for me as well, as long as there is no Tornado announced...

Guys, our Squadron has some experience with the Viggen -and one of our pilots loves the aircraft. I have some experience with it, and would be happy to fly it a lot more to get the best from it if others are around to fly it.

Our squadron is the long-established 159th Guards aviation regiment, and if anyone would like to just pop along and see if they would like to fly the Viggen (or any other type come to that) then get in touch.

There would be no immediate need to join until we're all sure it works for us -we're happy to have people try out with us before any commitments to join are made.
