eaglecash867
If its properly serviced with compass fluid, it doesn't do that. Notice how you can clearly see a miniscus about a third of the way down the glass? That compass needs fluid. :smilewink: EVGA Z690 Classified, Intel i9 12900KS Alder Lake processor, MSI MAG Core Liquid 360R V2 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 64GB DDR5 6400 memory, EVGA RTX3090 FTW3 Ultra 24GB video card, Samsung 980PRO 1TB M2.2280 SSD for Windows 10 64-bit OS, Samsung 980PRO 2TB M2.2280 SSD for program files, LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray burner. In the same way some people like to see weathered textures in the 3D cockpit some people might appreciate the realism of the compass maintenance... plus it looks cool! Understood. Just want to keep people from thinking that the compass behavior in DCS isn't realistic when comparing it to that video. You can get away with poor maintenance like that in a fixed-wing jet. Not so much in helicopters or piston-engined aircraft that vibrate all the time. Heh, sorry, just one of my pet peeves. Its such an easy thing to fix, so seeing things like that in an AF jet frustrates me. YSIAD_RIP
A10C-II Magnetic compass shake with gun vibration I will be surprised if ED does not add the magnetic compass shake in the future. Worst case, maybe some smart programmer will figure out how to implement via a cockpit MOD. ASAP
When you fire the gun the hud should also get blurry and hard to read from the vibration. You can see it on the hud footage of them shooting the gun.

According to the A-10 guys i've talked to it actually gets blurry and washed out while the gun is firing. They said video captured in the HUD camera is actually clearer than what the pilot can see because its better stabilized with the HUD. Not sure if its because of the vibration of the HUD or the pilots eyeballs though. I'd guess both.
