Reflected
Has anyone shot down anything with the AIM-9P5 lately in SP? I haven't. They're about as useless as GAR-8s on the F-86. As soon as the target turns, they miss. They're like a bad joke. It didn't use to be this way. What happened? QuiGon
I shot down an enemy player with them last week in multiplayer. I know, you asked for SP, but they should not have different paramenters in SP than in MP. razo+r
Yes, I've been more than successful with it, at least in MP.
Reflected
I know, in MP it's OK, because you often shoot at targets that are caught unaware. I specifically said SP, where you'll hit your target 2 times out of 10. :( Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

Lucas_From_Hell
I've had mixed luck with it. Frontal aspect shots are pretty terrible, the lock is lost as soon as the target turns hard, but rear aspect is working OK for me.

Reflected
Rear aspect mostly, the target making 2-3 G turns. I always try to lead my shots. I find that as soon as the angle is more than 30-40 degrees the missile will miss. When the target is out of energy, but is higher than you, the missile always misses. Reflected
Thanks, that I always make sure of. My issue with longer ranges is that it leaves time for the AI to pump out flares. AI always seems ot notice the missiles as soon as they are fired. As I said before I don't have problems against unsuspecting players in MP.
