Be sure you have BOTH DEST and PREP buttons with the same WP choosed. The same for Time to WP/Ground Speed. You must set bot Prep and Dest with the same WP number. NOT 00 in PREP. Again, nevermind. Esac_mirmidon Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) Well. The PREP button is indicating the current WP for data entry or visualization. The DEST button is indicating the current WP used for navigation. So with PREP you visualize the WP in the PCN for info, edit, change, whatever, but IS NOT USED for navigation. WIth DEST you are setting the WP USED FOR NAVIGATION. But if PREP is not matching DEST, you ONLY see the navigation info on the HUD-HSI-VTB, but NO ON THE PCN. This is why with for example PREP 01 and DEST 02, HUD-HSI-VTB will show you nav info about WP2, but in your PCN you will see info about WP1. To be able to see all the data you must use PREP and DEST at the same time over the same WP. At least this is how i understand the manual in this point. Maybe PREP 00 is what is confusing you. So prep is for the info I was looking for before, no matter what the dest is at. Thanks a lot! And yes, the Mirage is an absolut joy to fly and I cant stop reading and flying and testing. I still think all the things I said before though :D But I wont touch an FC3 plane never again after seeing the Mirage. The minimum altitude for the autopilot in localizer/glide slope hold is 200 feet. But i think the autoland mode is not finished yet. I like to take control. I think what does not work are the bullseye switches on the left of the VTB. Esac_mirmidon Posted July 27, 2017 Share Posted July 27, 2017 WP 00 in the PCN is your aircraft position. look for example at the LAT/LONG with PREP 00. Its changing all the time following the plane. WP 00 in the VTB is your aircraft position as reference for the radar cross designator. So range and bearing in the bottom left corner of the VTB is from your aircraft. What is not working already on the left side of the VTB is the first and second switch from the bottom. ( Target Bearing from Bullseye - Target Range from Bullseye ). BUT. If you set on the VTB one reference WP as the bullseye and in the editor the same WP OVER the bullseye ( for example place WP 01 over the bullseye in the editor and select WP 01 as the reference in the VTB ), you can have Range and Bearing from bullseye moving the radar cross over the target and looking at the info on the bottom left corner. Then you can select it as reference for radar cursor with "N" button on left side of the VTB. If you're leading a flight with AI wingmen and you don't want them to overfly the BE it can be useful.
