thank you for the reply! Can we assume that work on the broken TWS starts even before MiG-19 release? :pilotfly:

Radar update follows HUD/PCA update.

Why HUD/PCA update? What's wrong with those? Please update the radar first, every M2000 PvP player heavily depends on reliable TWS most of all.

(hud / pca, then radar etc.)

Hopefully first radar, then the other not so important things.

Also, Zeus, since you are reviewing the hud/ hdd / radar functionality, here are some related (suspected) bugs we have discussed in the past.

1) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=196471&page=16 (pages 16 - 18. Discrepancy regarding the Aspect Angle between hud / hdd.

2) S530 TTI bug . https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=199346

3) CCM boresight bug. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3178518#post3178518 . Don't know if it's related with the general

CCM target switching bug https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=177221 .

You may have perhaps looking at those.

Because it's not on the real one it's a -5 thing not a 2000C

Provision were made for this pod on all the mirage 2000s but it was only used on the 2000D and 2000N IRL.

IIRC it is unknown if the pod is "plug and play" on the 2000C but the devs choose to add it anyway.

The 2000-5 would not benefit from such a system as it is not carrying A-G ordinance (IDK if it's impossible for it to carry any A-G or if it's from French AF doctrine). The D2M can only see below the aircraft and is designed to warn pilots from MANPADs, so only useful for ground attack.

The cockpit certainly has all the D2M indications and switches, for one. I think it can stay as an option - don't like it, don't use it, which is what I do, but nothing wrong with those who want to play with that.

Maybe he is referring to the fact that the sensor is present (but not functional) even if the sensor option is deactivated ?

Any chance you'll also get a chance to look at the internal sounds? Especially engine startup and shutdown sounds are pretty broken.

Also engine sound in the lower rpm ranges seems a bit exaggerated from within the cockpit.

Specs:

i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds

+ battery, pumps and INS spinning sounds to give some life to the cockpit :).

I mean removing it from the aircraft by default, and leaving an option to enable it in the mission settings

and yes, removing the model of the sensor as well

MyHelljumper is right (how are you jump' ? It's been a while !). The D2M is used only with D variants.

If you want some precisions about this : it's all about Nitrogen. (Maybe some of you already know this). The notrigen used to cool the Magic sensor is located in the bottle inside the 2255 launcher. The problem is that the D2M also need to use nitrogen to cool its sensor. The solution found by the manufacturers/designers was to extend the 2255 launcher to hold a bigger nitrogen bottle, thus resulting in the 2255A launcher ( ''A'' for ''Allongé'', extended) used on the D and N. But it's not over, even if you have a bigger bottle, the D2m proved to be a big Nitrogen consumer, thus reducing the Magic's ability to cool itself, a big part of the nitrogen being used by the D2M. Combine this elements with the fact that -5 and C are not supposed to be used in very low altitude, and that the D (and N back in the day) were not supposed to use their Magics, the Armée de l'Air came to the logical choice to use the D2M only on their mud movers versions.

I need to confirm this but the D2M on the 2000C is available and working, but none of 2000 C and -5 squadrons have D2m in their stock. This last part is to take with caution, I don't know if 2000C sent to support 2000D in air-ground missions in africa were equipped with D2m for this specific mission, it's possible.
