How do I change the pilot skin? I see therer are at least two pilot skins in here.. more if you count the cadaver skin.. How can I change the one I see in the cockpit exterior and will that also change the one I see when I look in the mirror..

If I change my default skin will that also change the pilot skin for the AI as well?

I would think it's hardcoded and linked with the P51D textures and the pilot + external cockpit objects.

I havent heard or seen any features that would allow you to change it from the user interface.

My best bet would be that you started looking at the EDM files and related files for the P51D.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I'll move this over to the mods section, you're likely to get more help there.

Add this line to the description.lua file you want to edit

id   	  = 10 -- Tuskegee airmen head

It looks to be a draw argument for the 3D model itself.

To change the pilot body and helmet textures for the external model (which is the one you see in the mirror), look in "Bazar\World\textures\P-51D.zip". The textures are pilot_p51.dds and pilot_p51_helmet.dds Change them the way you want and add the modified textures to the livery folder for the P-51 skin you want to use them with. Then edit the description.lua in that livery folder and add these lines after the one for the pilot patch:

{"pilot_P51_body", 0 ,"pilot_P51_uniquename",false};

{"pilot_P51_helmet", 0 ,"pilot_P51_helmet_uniquename",false};

Make sure you use "false" in the line. Setting a texture to false tells the game that the texture resides locally in that livery folder, setting it to true tells the game that the texture is in a system file/folder (like TempTextures or a .zip file named in graphics.cfg). Use false to keep all of the textures for that livery in one folder, it makes things cleaner.

This will allow you to have different flightsuit/helmet textures for different liveries.

This doesn't seem to be working for me. The helmet I can change just fine but not the pilot body or the moving propeller textures. Any ideas? Thanks.

How should the LUA be configured for the A-10C? I have all my .dds files made, custom pilot skin & helmet. All the examples I've seen are P-51 and F-15c. None of the lua's that I've located have these in them. Are they not able to be done?

Is there a way to do this for the other modules. It would be nice to have some pilots of colour in the game. I black pilot in the F-16 would be great as well.

My mission is to fly, fight, and win. o-:|:-o What I do is sometimes get a tin of soup, heat it up, poach an egg in it, serve that with a pork pie sausage roll.
