Things wear out. Transistors fail. Ground crews screw up. Etc etc etc. There's a "reason" for everything like that that happens. In DCS it's simulated with a low percentage chance of a random failure.

No. Given the way DCS missions work on a simple win / lose system feel that that would just be another way to spoil a mission. Broken triggers can do that often enough.

 

 

If we moved to a dynamic mission structure then I figure that system failures would add to the depth. In other titles I already have the option to scrub a mission if I think it would result in excessive casualties or divert if I find a higher priority target. In DCS ( as it stands ) these things are meaningless so I ignore them.
