VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

The little that was left of my brain has almost gone trying to work all this out here.

Can someone post (or point to)

1) the latest Kegetys mod

2) a mask only version that works

3) a verson that passes IC.

The posts from the last couple of pages have toally confused me!

thats's not the latest version of the mod... which is for 47404

With the lack of response, I guess my confusion wasn’t so surprising after all!

the version i have passes IC, i have made that version available, though i am at a complete loss as to why it doesn't work for some. That said once this week i did get a red shield a when i was in 2d , restarted in 3d and i was all good.

if you look at _HMD.hlsl and disable everything except HMD_MASK, that should work, not tried it been trying to make the world safer, so not had much time for flying except for fun!

Firstly, gotta say to all involved, a big thankyou to going to the trouble of sharing your experiences and technical knowledge with the wider community.

Would it be possible to put the latest IC build in the first page of the thread? I'm still reading the OP as not being IC compatible. Apologies if this is not correct.

@Kegety's awesome mod is not IC compatible, he is the OP, I have butchered his mod to try and make it IC compatible

jmhcs not working due to mod?

Hi guys,

I can't seem to make the head mounted display (jhmcs) work in the FA-18C.

I turn on the knob but don't see the hud.

Could that be because of this mod?

Any ideas?

Try removing the mod, and seeing if it comes back, but, my experience is it works fine, are you flying at night?

did you press the recce event button on your joystick? that turns it on and off. also check to make sure you have it set in settings to be drawn in either one eye, both eyes, or none.

I am getting this error on startup. All instructions followed, shader files deleted. No mods other than a hangar scene, which mod still crashes when that's disabled. Game is at latest Steam version.

Doesn't for me. Sure you haven't bound that button to do that?

just tried it in game, you have turn the HMD on and brightness up first, then the recce button toggles it on and off

In Controls, what is you Recce button bound to?

on my f-16 stick the recce button is bound to the MASTER MODE BTN / S1

Got it! I didn't have my Hornet stick recce button bound to recce event as I originally had it bound to something else.

Set it back to recce event, and now it switches HMD on and off. Very handy tip there!

you are using the BETA version of the patch, with the stable version of the game, you need the stable version of the patch from the OP

it also explains why my HMD randomly switched on and off when i had it bound to TG1 :lol:

Where can I find the stable version of the mod?

EDIT: Going to go with the latest beta version on DCS.

look in the first post ... i would advise, that unless you like losing performance, not going to the beta until the next patch, also you will need to uninstall the patch before you upgrade to the beta

I think I have borked my install. I was trying yo install these shaders and now I get this error...wont load

Shader" derferred/resolveDepth.fx failed to compile-

HRESULT:ERROR_PATH_NOT_FOUND

Anyone can help?
