My squadmate ECV56_Caje and I went against 7 AI planes (4xF86 & 3xP51D) cause we wanted to practice some teamwork coordination and also deflection. I had some easy shots on target fixated AI, a couple of good deflection ones and a bonus track at the end which i like!.

BTW: AI is VERY weak, we set all 7 planes to excellent skill but it was not a match at all and we never were in risk :cry: Make AI more challenging please!

BTW: i'm in the making of a MiG-15bis campaign. Haven't decided yet the story behind it, im between two: 1) a historic Mig15 campaign from early 51' where VVS veterans ruled the skies of KTO or 2) a campaign of a guy who spends hours flying the MiG15 module nowdays, and one morning he wakes up in a place he doesn't know, a city at war years ago, and he joins a MiG-15 regiment (during some ficticius scenario like cold war europe -Poland, Germany or something like that) and has to fight for freedom against capitalism. :megalol:

Mate, we finally hosted the MP dogfight two days ago, the one i mentioned to you above. It was a 4vs4 dogfight, i was lucky to stay alive during 2 hours of mission, shot down 3 human Sabres (much more difficult than weak AI), also a human P51, and damaged a human escorted B29. You'll have that video soon, as you asked :D:thumbup:

I take my Mig out for my 1st Multiplayer sortie against a real guy and quickly got killed after about 3 passes. Had to fly all the way across the map to get to him. The F-86 that I purchased was about a year ago. Plenty of time for the better sim jocks to have the Sabre's flight characteristics down cold.

The server I was on was the Newbie Korea map by Putz.

I tell you what, though, a small 1 to 2 second burst of the smaller caliber cannons took the wing off a AI Sabre at 200 meters just like that, poof!

There should be 5 air kills, but unfortunately one of my tracks got broken (btw: why this happens so often?) and 2 Sabre kills are missing, cause adding those images from my squadmate track using externals is not fun.

It's On by default in Options Special for Mig15 and when you activate the switch for guncamera from the cockpit and press the trigger... the guncamera shows... neat feature.

Please read the video description carefully, i took off three times, 3 sorties. The slight damage i got in my right wing was around minute 3.40 when i was at a Sabre 6's and another F-86 was at my own six during my first or second sortie. By the end of the video i was in my third and final sortie.

I hope i clarified this for you, no "self repairing wings" bug for this plane.

Today i share an amazing dogfight i had against three Sabres at Quax server. The whole fight lasted for 18 minutes! I edited the first 12 minutes with main events from that part, and left the final 4 minutes untouched so you can see the outcome which is more fun than the whole tactical fight. I will upload whole fight soon anyway, but with spanish comments.

Good flying mate! I have three things in mind:

1. Have you ever tried the "labels mod"? IMO is much better and realistic then the stock labels. It will let you just see a black dot (like in my videos) and no information at all which i find a bit arcadish.

2. Also, are you using default textures? There are some really nice texture mods that will make your sim look less shiny and saturated regarding colors.

3. Do you have a sound mod for those cannons? They sound nice!

1.yes, i heard of the labelmod, i actually tried it out yesterday by installing quax modpack. I like it though i do prefer flying without labels at all.

i consider the current state of dsc a "training version"(cause it cant handle multyplayerbattles with 30people and moving groyndunits lagfree) and therefore i just use labels for trainingpurposes. Id like to train flying rather than spotting ;)

2. I tried various texturemods and tweaked luas for visual eyecandy, but i found out that i actually appreciate better fps in mp more than eyecandy.therefore i just have a groundtexturemod ftom barthek active.

3.nope - no soundmod...im perfectly fine with the dcs sound.

Last but not least, i revied my vid and have to say that only 3 of my kills count :)...i downed at least one by "accidently ramming" into it and got away without a scratch

Note: I might not count as a Sabre killer yet, guys. I did not confirm whether or not my Sabre kill was AI or human controlled. I will confirm, next time.

On the other side, I can confirm that I was shot down by a Mig pilot. I call the pilots bullies in the video, but I am only joking. it was a fair and good fight. The two gents I was against are very classy fellows and I admire their handling of their machines, very much so:

Well, first kill is definitely an AI; they always eject immediately after they get severe damage like that wing ripped off. A Sabre kill, nevertheless! And second fight at least one of them is definitely a human; no AI can scissor like that.

It's true that some people (fortunately just a few) don´t care too much about AI kills; i remember when i posted the first video (check first message) being very happy to share it cause i went from not hitting a thing at close range (i was not only new to MiG-15 module but also to DCS), to a five AI kills in a sortie with good deflections. Actually check first couple of comments like "let's see what happens when you fight a human".

Well, i've been fighting human Sabres since then (6 weeks); scored 24 kills with no defeats yet :music_whistling:

Bottom line is: let's be nice and positive to people who enjoy this sim, instead of negative bla bla. Who cares if it is human or AI, if it makes you enjoy it, it's good!

Thank you, very much so, Chimango! :) I am a big fan of your videos. You are a tremendous shot! You remind me of Josh Echo. He is a crack shot and a damn good stick, like you. I wish I had your shooting skills. Right now, there is a 50/ 50 chance of my missing a Sabre in a gentle thirty degree banked turn! :megalol: I will have to study your videos and learn how to set up shots, correctly. You don't even uncage your gun sight, many times. I like how you do that and I would like to learn to do that, too. I have a long way to go with the Mig-15, but I am having a whole lot of fun. :thumbup: MJ

Actually sometimes the good shots i do are more of a lottery than anything else, pure luck; check the new video i post here, watch how the last kill there takes me a lot of ammo. I always use the caged sight nowadays, i find the gyro a bit inaccurate and it doesn´t help me much. No secrets, just practice, focus on enemy angle on your sight, anticipate his vector, and use the outer circle to aim mostly, not the inner one.

Deflection shooting in MiG-15 is very difficult, i have 9 years experience in il2 1946 flying in every online competition with and against great pilots, and when i tried the MiG here in DCS for the first time, i felt i was a greenhorn at shooting!

Ok, enough writing for now, i share my newest video; five PvP kills while the enemy was busy with somebody else. During last three kills i was with my squadmate on TS3, if you listen to me whispering it was cause my wife was sleeping in the next room...and i didn´t feel like getting divorced that night! :D
