This might be the same bug as on the Viggen. Any quantity below 100% internal will be taken from the external tanks and transferred to the internal tanks upon spawning, that could be happening. After Takeoff (when I switch to external Tank) caution light comes on immediately for X-Tank empty. For me, they work the way they should. Could it be a bug within that specific mission, or maybe with scripts? I had a scenario set up in the Persian Gulf map and my buddy and I both had two smaller drop tanks on the wings and the large centerline tank. The centerline tank seemed fine but the wing tanks showed empty when I turned them on via the fuel panel. Once I landed and replaced the tanks, it seemed to work properly. With big external tanks set up in Mission editor I get them full.
